No. DO NOT SEND IN. We have a different core. They would want a similar one in return for the credit.

Dang.

That is how it is with cars with an actual key. For instance, my 2014 Ford Mustang needed PATS. All push-button start vehicles have the PATS key part in another module or PCM (guessing). The IPC can swap and the car will still start. My Instrument Cluster was new and It worked somewhat. I had to use IDS to PMI the cluster to be able to change the asbuilt codes. Forscan updated their software with a beta for me and the programming took, but I also used IDS to PMI the cluster with the help from FordPIMods.com. I was not able to do the PMI myself as my car is a 2016. If you have a 2018 there should be no problems what so ever. Or if you have access to one to program the cluster then put it in yours would work as well. Maybe a rental car or something would work to program only. Until someone else gets a new cluster and tries the new Forscan to see if it will work. ( I am guessing with the fix they did, it will work with Forscan only. I could see all the asbuilt codes in the IPC it would error when I tried to change them).
So will the mileage be the same after a swap or is that part of the PMI for the IPC?

Are the FORScan devs working on a way to do the PMI so you don't need IDS, or are you talking about something else?

Mileage is done when you order it from Ford, if the Cluster is used then the mileage will have to be programmed.

We will know shortly within the next week or two if Forscan will program the cluster, as another member is waiting on his stuff to come in and will try with the Beta version of Forscan. Will update as soon as we know if it works.

One more thing I found out today while driving, as it has been brutally cold here in Northeast Ohio. My bright lights will not stay on with the new SCCM Turn Signal Module piece, besides not showing in the Instrument Cluster. I could hold it on and they came on but I'm sure that is not an option for some. No big deal for me. Maybe for others it will be. Maybe someone can add the auto High beams. I am not interested in that.

So, when you order the IPC, you have to give them the mileage for them to program?

Then I assume you're not supposed to drive the car until you get the new ipc installed so the mileage matches, correct?

Depending on the shipping time, I would give them mileage above what yours currently is and then install it once you get to that mileage. Obviously that will take some planning on your part.
