A couple days ago I was gassing up for the winter, some dude in a crown vic pulls up beside me, and starts talking. 'I have a truck thats fast, I bet you can't beat it' I was like, 'OK' that could be but I went in to telling him that this isn't a drag car, its a track car. He couldn't put his brain around it. Anyway, he wasted about 15 minutes of my time talking about his truck. I like to listen to stories, but not in cold weather and when most of the story is lies. Like when he raced a mustang and passed him doing 143MPH down a city street and the cop pulled him over and let him go when the mustang got his car impounded and told those fellas, the guy he let go was an off duty police officer. OOOHHH K.

Never. I wouldn't do it, regardless. I did a few when I was younger but it's a novelty and tires are expensive...not to mention that I've become an anal detailer (did that on purpose) and don't want rubber gummies up inside the arches ;)

The most burning out I do is at autocross to clean my tires off and it's a small hit. Like 1 - 2 seconds if that.

Similar thing happened to me a while back. Dude in his POS bro dozer was raving it next to me at a light. I took off slow like usual and he kept gassing it and gassing it. I needed to get over so I nailed it and got around. Stopped at a gas station and he decided to follow and tell me all about his buddies truck that's way faster than my car. My first question is how do you even know having only seen the car accelerate for 3-5 seconds. Then he talks all about his truck. Typical GM guy "Issa ohhhh 1 Silverado with 5 on the foot and z06 heads. Gunna LS3 swap it soon." Is it so hard to say "Nice car or tell me about it." I get most of these idiotic compliments from GM owners. wonder if there's any correlation.....?

Nice car, rides worse than the GT350 by a lot. Needs a good set of shocks & 18" wheels as the first mod.

Yea, I read that. There was a head to head comparison between the focus RS vs the Honda civic type R, they both look like fun cars.

I think the ride was the only major complaint about the RS. Hmm the article said nothing about burnouts.

The RS does a great FWD burnout if you have the handbrake engaged a click or two by accident... At an autocross test & tune a buddy took my RS for a run and didn't notice that I had the handbrake pulled up a click to stop it rolling in grid. He did a huge FWD burnout off the line, lol
