This is definitely intriguing.

Since I have a Procharger there is plenty of power up top. Doing an F-150 Manifold + a wastegated Procharger could be the best of both worlds...

I doubt Lund will tune for it though. But I am definitely following this thread and may ask them in the future.
Local Ohio S550 race car has the setup you mentioned specifically for the midrange tq. I think it's the way I'll go down the road as well for HPDE/time attack.

Because a few have ask. Here is the opening for the Ford CX-2420 MAP sensor on the back of the F150 mani. You could purchase the sensor if not already on the mani or just tap it and put a plug in it. I want to say its 3/8.

Wait why wouldn't they tune for a simple intake manifold swap?
Well, i dont know I'm just guessing. But since its a strange and unusual thing that they've probably never done before, I have my doubts if they'd be willing. I'm just guessing though, I have not spoke with them about it yet.

Nice, good to know  I may pursue this but im not sure how much more midrange torque i need, it already spins tires constantly

A DIY/write-up would be awesome if guys could...I know most will say it's a straight manifold swap, however, it's nice to have a step by step with any gotchas that might lurk.

How do you like it 1st impression?
By the time I finish installing it was night time and raining so couldn't really get on it. I did take it for a slow cruz around town and surprisingly it seems my mpg went up. Previously I was getting 16-17ish and now it seemed to hover around 19ish. I'll see if anything changes tomorrow when I can really get in on it. I'll also try and datalog some runs.

I may do it as I have lots of pictures. Quick things off the top of my head is seriously make sure you have an inch/lb torque wrench when installing tthe as I snapped 2 bolts in the lower intake on my first installation. I had to take it all off and and redo it again lol. The 2nd time took 30mins. There is also a tightening sequence for the lower manifold, fuel rail and the throttle body.

Is that big bolt how you filled the sensor hole? And very cool if you did the write up with the pics.

Where did you get the torque specs and tightening sequence?

Yup I just tapped it with 1/2 13 tap and bought the bolt from the auto store. I did think about using a 5/8 inch tap and plugging with a pvc plug. Do note if going my method try and get my bolt in 1/2 inch. I say this because the hole your plugging is less then 1 inch and personally i just didn't want the bolt protruding in the inside. If you cant get a shorter bolt then spacers can work as well.

Do you have pp2 with the f150 manifold?
Maybe lol

From Late Model Restoration install of a pp3 manifold. This video helped me out alot. Of course there are some differences when installing the F150 vs the PP3.

I believe around the 10min mark they start explaining how to torque the bolts.
