Ford buy-back/replacement

I have some strong and favorable case examples in favor of a buy back in the state of Alabama in which I am a resident. I am curious though of the others that have successfully had their car bought back by Ford regardless of model. Did you all go through arbitration?

A cracked block is defective by definition. I do not understand why that is being debated here. It is also a progressive failure mode, such that once it starts, it almost always grows. It should be replaced.

Z- you might PM ITLRUN for his experience of a buy back in Georgia. He appeared to "take the high road" and got better results, but I am not familiar with his particulars. Good luck

Why on earth would you defend Ford over a customer? These are the kind of things Ford should take care of in good faith. Will it cost them some money? Sure, but they sure don't have any issues when it's time to demand an ADM. It's just short sighted, they should work with him. I would not feel good about driving that car. Just my 2 cents..

Buy back process is called lemon law which, assuming you fit within the laws of your state, you are best suited to initiate with a lawyer. Legal fees may not be paid by Ford.

Why on earth would you defend Ford over a customer? These are the kind of things Ford should take care of in good faith. Will it cost them some money? Sure, but it's small potatoes compared irritating a good customer on a Mustang forum. The amount of ADM one of these dealers are making would cover the cost of his GT350. I take it you would drive with a crack in your cars block? Just my 2 cents..

You might want to ask Zitro about siding with Ford over a lot of good customers.

I wouldnt want to drive with a cracked block or without the confidence of the car being able to handle the power engineered into it. But as the OP has stated, as long as a problem doesnt present itself under street legal driving conditions then there is no problem. Maybe its karma, maybe its the driver breaking 2 engines, maybe track package cars wrrent meant for the street.

buyback is lemon law,I know this. I am definitely not going the lawyer route as I want my vehicle bought back and still want a 350. I am not looking for a big payout. I am however using the BBB help, https://www.auto.bbb.org/lemon-law-complaint-form/.

Not to mention, this is one more, of many issues Zitro has had with the car. He, myself, and a few others have had engines replaced for oil pump failures.

At one time, it was illegal to sell a vehicle with a cracked block, no matter where the crack was. It was a serious thing.

My position has always been that the Tech car does not equal a track pack car in terms of performance on the track. In terms of normal driving conditions, I have consistently stated that a tech/base owners socument and build a case using the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.

No. If you want to have the vehicle bought back the easiest thing to do is call the RAV (reacquired vehicle department) in Florida. It takes 10-15 days for them to tell you if you're eligible. If you are you can choose refund or replacement, or you can back out and keep the car. That is the easiest part. It took me 6 months to finish the process only because I ran into issues first upon replacement (16 to 17 model changes with cost raises) and then issues with modifications.
