Well, my LL car just surfaced @ Covington Ford in GA. Price is $34,900.
No pictures on their website, so no idea if they stripped off all my mods or are selling it with the S/C etc. intact.

Amazing.

So a LL'd vehicle can be put back out for sale instead of being crushed???!!!

Wtf!

Post your old VIN up so no one else buys that POS...

I'd suggest anyone else who has LL'd their S550 to do the same - why should anyone else have to deal with a LL'd vehicle and the issues it had???

Really, be easy enough to put up a quick website where people can post the VIN of their LL vehicles. In GA, I think the title is branded as a buy back, though.

Sad thing is, it's probably an AWESOME buy for someone if they REALLY fixed it !!
I loved the car to bits, but the issues & Ford's lackluster repair response killed it for me :(

Vin is 1FA6P8CF7G5241044
I know it went from my dealer (Elder in Tampa) to some other dealer on the east coast of FL after the buyback. That 2nd dealer also did work to the driveshaft, so Elder's claims that they had resolved the issue on the day I got the check was yet another lie !

Not sure what the deal is with the place it's at - Covington Ford in GA (just east of ATL). They have a website like a Ford dealer, but it seems odd. Not many new cars listed & lots of used ones with ultra low miles like mine. No pictures of any of the cars & no Carfax or Autocheck. I asked them for pics & all I got was the "call us so we can talk" routine. I suspect this is some sort of outlet store for LL buybacks

I did get an Autocheck on it & the title is branded, car went thru the Orlando auction on 11/4. They are asking 34,900 for it, so I assume it still has my mods since I barely paid more than that for it as a new, fresh off the truck, clean title car :)

Looks like they finally posted some pics !!

http://www.americasautosite.com/ind...us=true&imgprotect=&&pagestyle=9&show_carfax=

Graphics are intact as is the Supercharger, wheels, spoiler, hood vents, tint & custom badges. For some reason they yanked off the side scoops & 1/4 window scoops ?? Not sure if the Steeda stuff & Roush exhaust are still in place, would need to see it in person to make that determination.

Bet they only got $25k for it @ auction - how stupid id that

If they had fixed the damn thing in the 1st place & offered an extended warranty & a little cash for my trouble I'd still be driving it & they wouldn't be out $30K :headbonk:

Carfax will show it. You should alway get a report on a used vehicle.

My hearing with the BBB arbitorator and Ford is scheduled for next week. I will be bringing copies of all the service records and claim forms. Can anyone give some insight on what to expect at the hearing?
Exactly 3 months to the day, I finally have a check in hand. Time to move on until Ford address the issues , build quality, recalls, etc with the S550 platform.

Finally got into my new one this past tuesday! I filed my first complaint on 3/12/15 and it isnt until 12/13/16 that it was resolved.

A horrible 1 yr 8 months of stuttering from Ford. I may be crazy for getting into another mustang, but i love the platform just really wish the company as a whole would re-evaluate their customer service aspect.

The old car's VIN was 1FA6P8CF0F5313135. It was a 2015 black PP build date oct '14. Let her loose in Dallas, GA

You gave them back the car with all those mods? Did they compensate you for them or something?

In FL they have to buy back any dealer installed mods that were part of the sale & that was 99% of the total cost.

I pulled and sold a few things I added myself (mud flaps, trunk mat & pull handle etc.) and had to just walk away from the small stuff that I could not remove (dead pedal, a few badges, visor blackouts, black lug nuts).

thoughts ...

Reading this thread and knowing what I do from the past eight
months of hard shopping these vehicles, has made me more
cautious of Ford and buying a Mustang. This would be my first Ford
product so this is hugely important to me, and to you all as well.

As stated with MikeD1's vehicle, I have come across three buy
backs during my search that had branded titles identified through
carfax. I was mildly interested in one of them @ $27,300 with
an MSRP over 43k.

I called the selling dealer and asked for the OASIS report. The black,
GTPP, M6 with just 3,100 miles was a Ford buyback because of the
back up camera, according to the report. The report revealed that
the trunk harness was replaced and issue resolved. Thought it was
odd Ford would buy back for a wiring harness. so I called another
dealer and just provided the VIN. This dealer came back with the
OASIS report showing the backup camera and ... an engine tear
down and rebuild, and transmission tail shaft replacement.

Another I followed went through 2 auctions,
traveling from Georgia to North Carolina, to New York.

I would elect to say that Ford does not engineer or spec vibration,
ticking, or electronic glitches into their products. As you know,
extensive testing is conducted to prove out all design features.
Regardless of the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
submissions by Fords suppliers, things happen in production
and tolerances can go out, torque specs can get missed or
not met, assemblies find themselves shifted however so slight
enough to introduce problems. I would offer that if my vehicle
during a test drive and/or the first months or years of ownership
began to reveal a vibration or noise that was unusual, it would
be fair to say that it would not be to my liking until said issue was
resolved otherwise, it could fester into something bigger.

I am disgusted with those Ford reps and some of what I've read,
not all bad but none of what some of you have gone through
should never have been. This is not just any other massed
produced product, it is an iconic vehicle with a colored history
that needs its integrity maintained. Ford cannot seem to grasp
the nature of the passion owners have for these vehicles. To
the dealer, it's just another sale, to the mechanic, it's just
another hourly rate, to the Ford rep, it's just another case to
execute. The passion only goes back to those at Ford who
poured themselves into every aspect of the Mustang up until
product launch. Manufacturing is not an easy road to walk.

As Commbubba19 said in another thread "The problem is the
whole dealer network in the first place. Direct sales is how it
should be. Support directly from the manufacturer. The dealership
model has been broken for decades. It needs to stop."

This is indeed the case! F word

Request for S550 Owners who have Lemon'd their S550 Mustang:

PLEASE POST YOUR VIN and the following words below within the same post:
DO NOT BUY
CARFAX
AUTOCHECK
LEMON
eBay
Craigslist

By doing so, anyone who tries to do a VIN lookup on a VIN that was Lemon'd will come across the forum hit - which should (will) deter anyone from buying a POS S550 that was Lemon'd for a damn good reason. No one should have to deal with a Lemon, not the first owner or any subsequent owners. Lemons should be crushed.
