Entire engine replaced - then lemon law'd it for other issues it was having. Ford is gonna blow smoke up you're tailpipe. Its not your clutch. Its not in your driveline...
Saw this thread come back alive recently, so i thought id google my old car's VIN. I knew it sat at a dealership down here in GA for about 4-5 months after I pawned it off.
Well good ole Ford got sneaky sneaky and shipped it about 1,000 miles away to Massachusets to have some poor sap buy it...
Jaruki, yours sounds a little different than the one i had. There was another fella' on here with a user name Rubyred who had an issue that was tied to the throttle position. As he gave it more gas and increased the RPMs it just got louder and louder.
The BBQ i had was very random, like pop...
Just had this myself...it was the driver side knee airbag. Intermittent... they ordered a new one after the diagnosis showed the voltages being outta wack.
Sounds exactly like mine. I had probably the first BBQ tick in the S550.
Its not normal. Its not OK, and it needs to be fixed by ford. If you're at 30k, get it filed as soon as you can and fight for a new motor. Its the only way itll fix it.
PM me if you need help. It took me a while to get...
lol.
The gauge lights are not supposed to light up during the daytime. Theres a sensor on your dash that has a light eye to engage the change.
put a peice of dark cloth over it and see if its looking like what you're describing after a few minutes.
As for the comment on putting it on ford...
Sounds like the HO2s (Heated O2 sensor) has gone down. Not sure sure which one that is (left or right) but a replacement should fix it. That should be covered under warranty even if you are tuned and have long tubes. If not, an OEM one is just shy of 100$ and can easily be fixed with some jack...
I had a 2011 mustang with a keypad on it. Bought it used with the system installed, but wound up relocating the garbage wireless FOB thing from the door to under the cowl hood. And by under, I mean the little blip that is facing the driver. Still accessible from the outside.
Hides nicely in...
I had probably the first reported BBQ tick, sadly. I think what did me in was a combination of things. One being engine tolerances during the machine of each individual part and also going full synthetic on my first oil change. Even though FORD did the change and the full syn is acceptable per...
Mentally, it was touch and go during the drill process thats for sure! But in the end the 'ole measure twice cut once saved the day.
I had my wrap done at "sir wraps" in Powder Springs. Check them out, cost me just about 200 for everything.
Also, check out the ATL S550 group on facebook. A...
Try changing your coils before going to ford. Or try taking the coils from 1 and 4 and put them on 2 and 3. If the problem appears on 1 and 4 then you know your issue lays with the coils.
Maybe that'll work in hopes the compression test was done incorrectly. Taking it to Ford will cause a...
After seeing a few post on member builds I thought it would neat to document my build and share ideas and progress as the days, months and years pass. By no means is this a show car or anything sponsored. Infact its my daily driver in the south. It sees all the elements, including the occasional...
This is a horrible situation of he said she said. Unfortunately unless you can prove it the dealership will win.
I've had this happen to me personally, as well as many buddies who dropped their car off for work only to have more issues pop up immediately after the initial repair. Often times...
