Seems to me that you'd be able to install/remove it from the side we're looking at in that diagram and my picture above. It's used for accessing the fasteners that secure the torque converter to the flywheel in auto cars right? Thanks for the info! I'm hopeful I can get the plug and just install it myself easily enough.

I had the car up on jackstands today to check my oil filter torque. While I was under there, I checked out the "missing" plug.

Zitrosounds Minn19 Voodooo Can any of you confirm that our engine has a plug here? I'm going to the dealer tomorrow to have my rear bumper fitment fixed (hopefully). I'm going to let the service director know about all the stuff I found.

Sorry kairojya, I cannot confirm for a few days, but I would have no reason to doubt Voodoo. I should've taken more pics of the new engine when I was there Friday. It definitely looks like there should something there for a few reasons.

Jesus Christ. Just kinda boggles my mind how this was such a poor install. Just strengthens my opinion that dealerships can be as bad as I think they are. Kyle, I know I originally told you to keep it cool, but shit bro, all these missing components, shitty install, just pathetic and it makes the dealer look horrible. As someone else said, I'd contact ford and make a case!

^This and agreed. Thanks kairojya for all of the updates. I'm am most likely going to be getting my car back this week. You've given me a nice list of things to check before I take it home. If it looks like yours, I won't even bother taking it home. Good luck, this really sucks and I truly feel bad for this extra headache you have to deal with.

Thank you Voodooo!
Minn19 I hope you don't have any of these minor issues with your install. Glad I could help in some way.
CanadianHorseMan It's weird, I was way more upset with this whole situation before I got the car back, now I've been relying on apathy as a stress reliever. I've already put over 1,000 miles on the car since getting it back. All of those miles have been back road weekend drives. Other than the issues I've discussed here, it's been running good.

You are very generous and I give you credit for your mind set. I'm not so sure leaving that plug out is so minor though. I'm not entirely sure what could happen if a stone or something got in there, but I'm guessing not good. There is a reason there is a plug there. Any way, that is a lot of minor issues, good luck with getting most of them corrected in a timely manner.

Haha, ya, well you're prolly in a state of happiness since you got it back, and all these issues, you look at them in disbelief that the mechanic fixing your car would care so little about his/their work. And they took their time doing it too...anyway, good luck with the dealer, still be cool, but stand your ground and let them know it's a shit job...in a nice way. haha

This is from the 5.0, but it's the same.
I couldn't get the photos Roh92cp posted to copy here...

Does it state there are 4 plugs? If so, are there three others missing from your car Kyle?

Also, it looks to me that there's an internally installed plug as well as the outer rubber plug meaning two plugs for the hole?

Sorry to hear about your ongoing troubles with this car..

Hmm I hope that's not the case. Actually Zitrosounds earlier posted something that seemed like he thinks their is an internal plug that you install before putting the flywheel on the engine. If that's the case, my dealer would have a quite a lot of work to do to fix this. And I can expect more transmission tunnel scratches

I'll bet the plugs are the same for both motors, and it looks like it from the pics posted. If so it's only one plug and has a raised lip on both side to hold it I may place.
