When to expect order placed Jan 2016?

Hi guys I ordered mine jan 30th 2016 and picked up yesterday, under 7 month wait due to a canceled order, was really surprised to get a call in the first week of august to ask if I wanted to take delivery early, otherwise was told December 2016 or jan 2017. So said yes with no hesitation, all I can say from driving it home and a bit today is what a car could not be happier. Also has sync 3 which was good to, dealer said was the first one they have got in with sync 3.

That's great news, but was it the same colour you ordered? If they offered me a Mustang today, but not in the colour I originally wanted, there's no way I'd take it just to shorten my wait by 4 months.

I ordered 31st January and received nsc early July. I have only rung up the Ford 1300 number, not gone online to facebook. They don't have my vin number but did say that their info is not up to date like the dealer or ford facebook. Might have to ask the dealer next week.

I ordered 30 dec,so basically jan i suppose.Got nsc from dealer on 25 june,told me sep build and nov eta.Rang dealer a few times aking for a vin but not available.
Kept checking on ford facebook and bang ,got my vin on 25/8/16.
Tried etis just now and hooray it's there.

Find ford australia on facebook,then send them a message.
I don't use facebook much either and it was pretty simple,pretty sure you'd need an nsc though for them to look anything up.

Yeah they can't really help until you get a NSC. They told me to get back in touch with them next year once I have one.

Says [email protected] but it's Monday-Friday. They call themselves Ford Customer Service and Facebook is just one of their contact mediums.

I'm not on Facebook either. I've tried the phone number and the email and neither worked for me. They just keep on telling me to go back and ask the dealer.

And I feel for the dealer - he wants to tell me, but until his stock controller is notified by Ford, there is nothing he can do.

Looks like Facebook is the only option that actually works which is a bit shit because I won't be creating a Facebook account just for this.

Well, I got a ring from my dealer the other day, with some "good news". I thought he might finally have a build date for me, but no such luck. The "good news" was simply that my car was going to be a MY17, with the updated SYNC3. I told him that I was already aware of this, because they started making the MY17s back in June. Seeing as I placed my order in January, it was just stating the obvious really. He told me that he had to update the order to reflect that my car was now a MY17? So I gave him confirmation that I still intended to go through with things, and that was that. Almost 8 months now and no real news... in order for me to get my car by the end of the year it will have to be built within the next 5 weeks or so. I'm starting to think that's not going to happen...
