When to expect order placed Jan 2016?

I finally got my VIN yesterday.
Stang booked in for 29th of August.
ETA pick from dealer late October 2016.

90 Days after this for delivery.

The dealership rang me yesterday to inform me that a Sept build is likely, so I messaged Ford AU on fb and they got back to me today to confirm that a Sept build is likely and to get back to them at the end of this month and they should be able to supply me with a VIN...fingers crossed

I got basically the same info as you Zee.Oredered 30 december.Got call from dealer 2 weeks ago said nov delivery,september build.No vin at that time from dealer.Facebook new nothing then, so i told em off.
Contacted facebook again on saturday and they said

We have double checked and can confirm that it is now showing that it is likely to go into build in September. I ordered on the exact same day mate, got the VIN a couple of days ago. You better chase Ford AU on FB one more time. We need to put more pressure so that they do something about it - perhaps demand even more allocations from Ford US.

You can put all the pressure you want and still won't get anywhere. Ford America don't give a stuff about Aussies as we are such a small market compared to the rest of the world. Just be patient. When I ordered mine I was told that it would probably be about an 18 month waiting list until I got it (June 2017). It looks like I will be getting it about December 2016 or January 2017 so that is 6 MONTHS earlier than I was originally told - so I am happy. If one is not prepared to be patient and wait calmly then one should not bother ordering one.

So said yes with no hesitation, all I can say from driving it home and a bit today is what a car could not be happier. Also has sync 3 which was good to, dealer said was the first one they have got in with sync 3.

Wow! Very lucky to get a cancelled order with sync 3! Wouldn't think anyone would be cancelling orders this late in the game!
