Grabber Blue would NEVER be on my list - I think it looks good on the Focus but complete crap on the Mustang - only MY taste anyway.
Deep Impact Blue was the best blue they brought out imo.

Mustang Mick - it is usually 6 to 8 weeks between NSC and VIN being issued. I don't care how long it takes so long as the car is "PERFECT" and reliable when it gets here. I have waited in the past for a car to be built so I am prepared to wait again - I have a lot of things to do in my life while I am waiting so I certainly won't get bored. Months fly extremely quickly in my life.

If DIB blue was available it would've been my pick, no questions asked. Lightning looks different every photo I see - in some it's awesome and in some it's a bit ho hum. Can't take the uncertainty, so went with ruby red!

OK, so I got my nsc on the 4th July, so maybe September build, for a December delivery might be on the cards. Thanks, my weekend just got better. :)

Mustang Mick - I got my NSC on the 7th July. When did you order yours?? I ordered on the 18th Feb and was told that ETA was about June 2017, but that has now come way forward to December or January so that is a HUGE improvement. I will believe it when I finally get to see the notification in writing. We will have to keep in touch with each other as we both got our NSC the same time.

Mustang gt619 - get in touch with Ford Australia on Facebook, give them your NSC number (inbox them in messages) and they will get back to you very quickly. I was chatting with them last night - they are cool about it. To me you appear to have been waiting way way way too long.

Having received my NSC on the 7th July 2016 and it is now the 5th August I contacted Ford Australia on Facebook last night asking them about the progress of my car and this was their extremely quick response

Hi Don, thanks for your details. We can confirm that we have received your order. As yet there is no set build month for your Mustang. Generally all Mustang orders are being filled within 12-15 months from order. If you would like to come back to us late this year we will be happy to check for any new information for you. Thanks FordService^CZ

I ordered on the 30th January, nsc on July 4th. The dealer early on indicated probably around January to February delivery but that was before the extra 2000 units were allocated. I hoping for a late December delivery, would be roughly 11 months or so. I have been sorta thinking that maybe the 2000 extras might be made in late September/early October, then about 3 months from then. Here's hoping.

Thanks Daffy, I have been in constant communication with Ford Aust FB.
They have always confirmed due for August build based on my NSC.
First they said come back to them end of July for VIN and now their saying come back to them mid August. Very frustrating when so many others ordered after me and tracking their vehicles on ships as we speak.

Thanks for listening...

i would be going nuts, there definitely no consistency, i have heard it depends on dealer allocation blah blah but it should be first ordered first served.

Did you get an email like this Andrew? This is mine so, I didn't have to go looking for it. I got it in May.

Hi Peter,

Congratulations on your Ruby Red Ford Mustang Fastback order!

We know it’s been a while since you placed your order and we want to confirm that we now have a specific order number for your Mustang in our production system.

NSC order number: XXXX

This number can be used as your order number until your Mustang is assigned a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).

As you can imagine we have been swamped with orders and whilst it may be some time before your Mustang arrives, this really is a case of good things come to those who wait.

So what happens next? We'll keep you informed about the delivery of your Mustang as it goes into build, then onto a ship, before finally arriving in Australia and being delivered to your chosen Dealership Lane Ford.

The next email you will receive will be when production of your Mustang has been finalised. Until then, if you have any enquiries please contact your Dealership.

Sincerely,
Ford Australia
