drive a 2v, then talk about low end torque lol
Haha, very true.
Back in the day, my 1996 4.6L GT came stock with 215hp, 285 ft-lbs!! :headbang:

Wow! This is what I've really been wanting to hear! One of my friends is very good friends with a local tuner and he said there is no comparison between mail tunes, even logged and revised ones compared to a custom dyno tune.
I thought maybe he just had happy dyno but he's routinely been getting 425/400 out of these things with just full exhaust and intake.
Looks like its time for me to pony up for some dyno time :headbang:
Yup that's what I've been saying for a while. Some people will bend words like "remote "tuned. That's basically the same as a dyno shop tune. Email tunes are great for some mods but I want what I paid for and my dyno tune was it. I made 440 with exhaust and jlt with 404tq. Now I'm gt350 intake and tb putting me at 456 on 93. My car even drives better because the cam timing was optimized.

I'll say what I said on page 1 again. If you think there's a lack of low end, even with 3.31s, you've been thoroughly spoiled by very fast cars. My car will thrash pretty much everything I see on the road daily if I put my foot in it.

I 100% agree with you, even comparing to my Gto the mustang feels great at low rpm in a high gear.

Truly amazing for NA 5.0 with bolt ons! That's around 540 at the crank which would put the beat down on most any NA competition!

And with the auto they were a mid 7 second 0-60 car. Most NA I-4 cars are quicker than that now lol.
Small and mid-size sedans with NA I4s are 7.5-9 seconds to 60, most in the low 8s. Fair point though!

The complaint by many isn't that the car is slow its the lack of SOFP feel at lower rpm, especially in the higher gears and or when not in the powerband.
My wife's old V6 rav 4 and current Murano (NOT fast cars) "feel" punchier around town than a stock manual GT with 3.31 or 3.55's.

TIL: people thought they purchased a diesel. Can't even keep traction on 1st and 2nd but needs more torque. Plenty for a stock car. That's why aftermarket exists though. Plenty options to help you.

My 3.31 car in 2nd gear above 2500 rpm gives way more SOTP acceleration than anything like that, including my wife's Sonata turbo floored. Downshift

I picked up 18hp from my "header" email tune and a dyno tune. Most of the changes were made to cam timing which made a huge dif in low end and over tq. Lund tune I made 376tq with dyno tune and same mods I made 404.
So, your 404 number with tuned by the dyno shop? Or did Lund do a remote dynotune? I assume you these numbers same day, same dyno?

What was the difference under the curve between the 2 at 2500-4,000 rpm?

Lund specifically told me they don't touch the tivct with headers as in their testing between stock manifold and headers, playing with tivct did not net any difference.

With a stock manifold I can see this being the case but if long tubes plus a short runner manifold cam angle changes will definitely help. A 2013 boss 302 has somewhat drastically different stock cam angles at wide open throttle (especially intake cam) vs a regular 2013 GT or a 2015 up GT Other than the slight differences in cams and heads the biggest change is the manifold.
