So here is what was installed
2016 mustang GT

Hellion twin 55mm turbo kit
Id 1000's
Fore fuel system
160 thermostat.
Running on E85

Now the work is being done locally at a shop in San Antonio called
Lethal performance.

The problems came in when trying to tune this car.
The local Tuner for the shop said he got stuck because he is locked out of a lot of parameters.
Initially the car would bog out when trying to get on throttle.
They got some things squared away but say timing is off and it runs rough when driving.

So they sourced my tune to blow by racing out of boca raton, fl.
Now they are still encountering issues saying that it is still running rough.
Running data logs etc.

Do you guys have any ideas or suggestions I can mayb bring up to the guys?

Ideally I would love to get all the right minds together so we can find a solution to this that would work and get me on the road with no issues.

If you have any useful info please help me out and thank you all.

It's already been paid for, if it comes down to that I will. Is it just industry secrets tuners don't like to share with others to assist?
Even though I don't work for them im just looking to facilitate some info for the guys working on it currently.

Honestly, you get what you pay for. Ken is my 3rd and last tuner. I won't use anyone else. Not all tuners are equal.

Have your tuner call Chris Groves at "The Dyno Edge" in Albuquerque NM. He tunes a lot of cars for Hellion, and is good friends with John Urist. He should be able to help!!

Ken can probably send you a tune that is 95% on the first data log. You get great support and a wealth of knowledge. It would be money well spent IMO.

in the Ford world of tuning they def don't share
This mostly. I guess there are a circle of Ford tuners that do share with each other but obviously their tuner is not one of them.

OP contact Murillo Motorsport and see if they can tune it.

I have a hellion twin 62 kit, same Fore return style system and ID1000's. Ken sent me one tune, the car fired up on the first crank, never threw a CEL, never stumbled, idled perfect, drove and shifted perfect. It doesn't get any better then that, best $500 you can spend, and his support will be ongoing, you are not buying just the tune.

I know you're well aware you can switch tuners, and others have already brought it up as well. But I figured I would toss in that my Lund E85 tune has been phenomenal. I am not sure why Lund isnt more popular on this forum... but I would confidently put my car up against any other customer owned Whipple car. Only thing is, I dont know if Lund will tune turbo cars. Last I heard a while back, it was no. But its been a while and that may have changed.

You said that your tune is already paid for. Its none of my business really and I dont want to be a dick. But maybe they would give you your money back on the tune since they are not able to get it running correctly. IMHO it sounds a little unfair that you are, not only offering & risking your car/engine, but you are paying out of pocket for someone else to learn the ropes and build a passable base map. Even if the tuner is qualified to the max, if he doesnt have the access/tools that he needs, I would move along.

Hey Boss.
How do you like the Hellion compared to the TVS.
Any dyno or track numbers yet?

I thoroughly enjoyed my new setup, for 2 weeks. I made a mistake with my bc, hit 20psi and took out a piston. I have a new sleeved/forged MPR long block on the way, shipping in 2-3 weeks. Building the entire car trans/rear, 1300's, etc.

I plan to do a full write up soon, no comparison to my TVS, completely different car, absolutely love it. The turbos hit so hard it's down right scary, and the low end driving with my 3b is so much enjoyable then the "on/off" type performance of my TVS. I also prefer the sound of the oem exhaust manifold over the loud headers. Ken B's tune is butter, the driveability is dead on, extremely pleasant and friendly until you mash it......:eyebulge: I'll never buy another supercharger again.

Sorry to hijack OP,but also have tuner suggestions below
Glad you like it.Look forward to your write up .Did you know the exact same thing happened to me?

Coming from supercharger,no experience with BC(at least in my case).4000 miles on stock motor-boost spike ,Kaboom:frusty: .I went with the alluminator then to minimize down time and was back in the saddle within a week(I may be replacing that with a built GT350 long block, including flat plane crank, this winter).

My Hellion car(55's) just went 9.6@144-16 psi(9.7@144-15 psi) with Daniel at TSS tuning/e85/Sai fuel system,ID 1000's and built tranny(stock was starting to slip),iron housing rear end/800 HP axles/shaftmaster drive shaft.I am pretty happy with Daniel and his customer service is great.

It looks like I will have to do valve springs to make any more power/go faster at high boost.Glad you sprung for the 62's.Not sure you need stiffer valve springs with them but might as well if the heads are off.

I am going in the opposite directions you on my other car-TT on3 to KB 3.2/10 rib also on built block(non sleeved/billet support)/GT 350 heads.Triple pump but going to see how far I get with ID1000's before springing for the 1300's.I was going to do blower cams but Tuner(Lund) advised against it.I am sure the KB can take me past my blocks limit.

Planning to build/sleeve the block that came out or just build a Ford racing 5.2 block as a spare.
