Was the sound tube removal a pain in the ass?
For me not at all. I have the PP so the strut tower brace was a bit in the way. took the bolts of and swung it out of the way.

I did not bother with taking of the firewall bolt, I just took apart the various sections of the tube and when I was down to the last part still attached to the fire wall, I first disconnected where it was attached to the engine. Then I gave a quick sharp tug on the pipe and it popped right off.

It took longer to loosen/tighten the strut brace than to remove the pipe.

This weekend I painted and installed the engine/coil covers. Picture is a bit dark but its what I have.

Totally agree. The hood lends itself to the Rousch fascia with a more aggressive/brutal look.

Found out the tiny hard glued-on spots were Artillery Fungus, which occurs in the humid cooler temp springtime. Washed the car again, got off all those spots, and then followed up with Meguire's Ultimate Liquid Wax, which is really a sealer. Now the car is shinier and very slick. Bugs just flicked off with my finger upon arriving at work this morning. Hopefully the spots won't adhere as hard from now on.

Also, sun went behind the clouds right before these shots. :(

Now I know what they're called, I've just been calling them "those black spider-looking wheels" :) They look great!

God bless you!

haha j/k but real question. Never heard of these tires any previous experience with them?
They are re branded Falken fk452. I read up on them and they seem like a good bang for the buck. Directional made in Japan.

Here is a review by consumer.

This is the same tire as the Falken fk-452. They are made by Sumitomo rubber company in Japan. I use them my self and sold thousands of them over the years. These are a way better tire than the replacement, Falken fk453. The only instance where the fk453 is better suited than the ohtsu fp-8000 (fk-452) is on a car with camber issues, because it is asymmetrical, and has a solid inner band, it resists feathering on a car with camber issues. Other wise the fp-8000 has a larger contact patch than the 453. Because it isn't directional the gaps between the tread need to be bigger to deal with the water at high speeds, but because of this less rubber touches the ground compared to the same size in the fk452 or fp8000. The fk452 and fp8000 also sheds water at a high speed better and lasts longer. Any regular consumer needs value and mileage out of a tire, so having more tread is necessary to get a decent amount of mileage. I hope this helps some of you. The Ohtsu is the best value on the market. If money's no object, the Michelin Super Sport is a slightly better tire but cost twice as much for only about a 5% improvement over this tire. This is the way to go for 95% of us.
