I wish we could legally go that dark in Texas on the driver and passenger doors. I need to get mine tinted soon, but haven't decided if I want to splurge for the ceramic tint or just get the metalized tint. Anyone here have ceramic and have good or bad things to say about it?

I've used ceramic since 2008, Formula 1 Pinnacle series. It's got the highest heat rejection on the market. Pricey, but Llumar, the parent company, will only allow certain dealers to carry/install F1. They have to be one of the best at their game.

I've had it installed on 4 different cars now. With 4 years on two of them in the Georgia/FL sun, no bubbling or loss of color. A good tinter can make it adhere to the black dots, and it the clarity is awesome.

My 2016 just had the 15% Pinnacle installed on the doors and rear windows, and then the Air 80 on the windshield. That, coupled with a window shade, has my car at a reasonably "cool" level getting into it with high 80's temps and no shade in my work lot. I've actually been able to sit in it for a prolonged period before needing to open the windows.

When driving, the Air80 on the windshield has virtually no tint to it, but provides about 40% heat rejection and 99.9 UV. Prior to the install, my knees and thighs were getting cooked. Now they get warm, but not sunburnt or sizzling. My installer cut it perfectly around the Ford/black dots on the windshield and unless you're seriously looking, you'd never know it was there. I don't think a cop would look twice at it.

The 15% / Air80 are illegal here in FL, and I'm sure they would be in TX, too. The 30% still provides excellent heat rejection, but you'll feel the warmth.

I'm very picky about my tint and will drive a reasonable distance for a shop that carries this stuff, but I also research all their Yelp/Google ratings prior to making an appointment. Check out tintdude.com, too. It's an installer site, but a lot of good info there.

Got my Diode Dynamics replacement rear side markers in today. Put those in. Last night I installed Roush heat extractors. They look great. However there is one part that bows up on the driver side, not only does that particular clip "clip" very well right there, but the extractors are actually two pieces put together. And the actual vent part is bowed up over the base of the extractor. No way I can correct it on my own. Emailed American Muscle with a warranty claim request but nothing yet. You can see in a profile shot I posted below. It's not horrible, but these are not inexpensive pieces of plastic and I know it's there and will drive me crazy.
Car looks great

That dark is not legal here either. Plus I don't have a front license plate and I'm getting ready to put tint on the tail lights. Around here, cops generally won't bother unless given another reason.
Knock on wood :headbonk:I've never been pulled over/ticketed for any of the offenses.

Installed some Redline Tuning Hood Struts. Ran into an issue with these where the passenger side hood bracket does not line up 100% for the wiper fluid hose retainer to snap in.

Also, installed Ford Racing strut tower brace and k-brace.

They should be here Monday or Tuesday. Getting all four wheels powdercoated again this upcoming Monday too.
