Picked up my Mustang last night, panel alignment seems good overall but the hood is bothering me (and is the one thing that I missed during inspection because I'm an idiot). There's definitely more space on the right side (pic attached) than the left.

Is this pretty normal on your cars? Am I being OCD? Is hood alignment an easy fix if I raised hell at the dealership?

The way I look at it is it depends on you.
For me if I can't tell the difference at 20ft, I don't give a crap.
It's not a hard fix, you just loosen some bolts at the hinge.

Its hard to tell with it that far zoomed in. Best thing to do is compare it with the other side of the car. If the other side is much tighter, then the hood can be adjusted as Jason said.

It's not only you, believe me

I bought mine last Thursday but didn't take possession of the car until next day (at least that's what I thought). Before giving my down-payment check to a finance guy I did request final inspection, they brought the car in the shop and on the lift. This is what I found and reason why it refused to take possession of the vehicle until all the issues are solved.
Large gap between fender and the hood on passenger side and no gap on drivers side.
Paint chipping at the top corner of a passenger side.
Dealer is working on it, supposed to be done within week time. Time will tell

moving the hood takes literally 5 secs. it's only 4 bolts...then if you need to move fenders out some it's a couple on top of the fender. all very quick and easy.

My 2016 GT, Ingot Silver was exactly like this. I mentioned it to the dealer the day I picked it up. He documented it and said...sure thing! Just make an appointment, bring it back and well take care of it.

When I got home I said to myself...self! "F " that! I'll fix it myself. All the dealers going to do is have some guy do the same thing I can do.

So I loosened the hood hinge bolts and adjusted it myself, retightened the hood hinge bolts... Done!

Not feeling as bad now after seeing some of these horror stories. Next time I take it in for service will ask them to adjust.

I agree, I could of done it myself but my point is why would I waste my time if dealer can do it for me. It's a brand new car after all.
Adjusting panels wasn't a big deal but the paint work had to be addressed and I didn't feel like doing it myself. Dealership actually agreed with me and they had no problem making it right so props for them for not trying to down play the issue. I used to work for Toyota dealer years ago and I know how the "dealer politics" can affect customers. The truth is that if you don't take care of the sh$t right of the bet you'll be forced to deal with issues on your own, one way or another. You live and learn and so I know how it is for I've experienced that first hand. Anyway, my very first Mustang should be ready soon so I'm excited and looking forward to enjoy it this coming weekend. Cheers everyone, Kuba

My GT had gaps almost exactly like that. I took it to the dealer and they readjusted them. They're gone now.

I have some gaps, that I wasn't aware to look for when I bought my car. I'm wondering if I can take it to the dealer that's closer to me, or do I have to take it to the one I purchased from, which is an hour away?
