I heard this mentioned in another thread but haven't seen any follow up or further talk. I am very interested in this, especially since I only have access to 91 Octane. Definitely don't want to be a guinea pig though. Has anyone actually ran E85 in the 350 other than lethal's whippled car?

I'm trying to work on a tune using HP Tuners, but it's slow going. Most folks looking into E85 tuning are starting from the F150 Coyote flex fuel tune and working their way into the tweaks needed for the Voodoo.

I'm installing my flex fuel tune from Lund today. I'm going to burn as much as my gas as I can before filling with e85. I'll report back later tonight.
Any update on the tune? Also, how did you figure out your PCM code? I have searched numerous sources: Lethal, Lund, Beefcake, CJ Ponyparts, American Muscle. They all give different info and none seems to apply to the label on my PCM.

Had a little more 93 in the car than I thought I had so It took me till tonight to finish burning it off. Just filled up with e85 and put about 50 miles on it. Car pulls noticeably harder especially in the mid range. No knock, and afr's look pretty good.

I had the same issue with the pcm code. I have a sct x4 from my other car that I plugged into the gt350 and got the ecu strategy, and the ecu swpn. Lund was able to use that instead of the pcm code.

Unless you have unlimited access to E85 in rather convenient locations I don't think it's worth voiding your warranty. Fuel consumption is crazy in this car as it is. Add in the extra fuel needed for corn and I see you having to stop for gas quite often. If your not going to run E85 >60% of the time I would just wait

If I understand them correctly the E85 tunes I'm familiar with are flex tunes that will allow 93 or E85 fuels. In my area E85 is easier to find than 93, best we have is 91.

True. I don't have access to E85 that is convenient. So I personally wouldn't want to void my warranty if I only had the ability to really take advantage of the tune a couple times a month

With a factory tune that will capitalize on race gas, keep a drum in the garage, keep your warranty and likely get the same gain.......27 rwhp and 27 rwtq running 98 over 91 ;)

Curious why the 350 did not come as a flex fuel vehicle....does anyone have insight?

I have read elsewhere that the costs to certify a second fuel can be prohibitive. On a high performance machine dealing with mixes and variability of fuel quality, water, and the tune might have been problematic too.

I ordered my Lund tune with JLT intake. Since I am in CA I'm starting from a 15+hp 91 octane deficit so my gains should be even greater. Did you get the JLT too?

Yes, and it makes a noticeable difference in induction noise under a heavy load. Love it!

Do you know if the tune impacts the different drive modes?

Since there is only one station offering e85 locally I was hesitant to order the tune given the low price of gas and possibly uncertain future of ethanol. I wrote to Propel Fuels and this is what they told me:
"First off, thanks so much for reaching out to Propel. We always love hearing from customers interested in learning more about our fuels. Also no need to worry of Propel going away anytime soon in fact you'll begin to see more locations carrying E85 than before. In 2015 we had our best year ever and will be expanding Propel fuel points across greater California

We know our customers expect a true E85 product, so we do our best to hit that mark. That said, we strive to offer E85 that is as close to 85% percent ethanol content as possible (with a typical delivery containing between 82% and 84% ethanol). And, because the weather in CA doesn't vary as drastically as it does in other parts of the U.S., we offer that blend year-round."

Encouraging.
