I need to bring the car down here to Rio, it's nice and warm for detailing. No shit! When it was warm around Christmas, it rained about 9" over 8 days.
I will get it done in my garage sometime soon.

LOL @ Steeda Bros...Bros before hoes:lol:dem Koni's.. I'm waiting on those to drop and do the rest of my suspension with those so I only have to align once more. Then I think we'll be complete Steeda bros.
I'm putting in my tri-ax and doing some other things to tie me over hopefully until then. My last alignment was 4 hours of tweaking and pretty $ so I'm only wanting to do that one more time for a while. Do you even Steeda bruh!! :lol:LOL @ Steeda Bros...Bros before hoes:lol:
I was going to wait for them as well but....2+ months is too long to wait to get these next mods installed so I went for it. I can get a good deal here in Atlanta for an alignment once the Koni's arrive.
Off to Valdosta again in the morning to get my next rounds of mods installed by Steeda.
Mods in this trip are:
*Ultralite Linear springs (yes, I am replacing the progressive springs) - http://www.steeda.com/steeda-mustang-ultralite-springs-lin…/
*Red IRS differential bushings - http://www.steeda.com/steeda-s550-mustang-adjustable-diffe…/
*G-trac brace - http://www.steeda.com/steeda-s550-mustang-extreme-g-trac-b…/
*IRS subframe braces - http://www.steeda.com/steeda-s550-mustang-rear-irs-subfram…/

Kickass review, bud! Glad you're liking the switch to the Ultralites and glad you're noticing all the R&D we put into the shifter! Looking forward to the next round of mods and I'll keep you updated on the shocks/struts!What a great day at Steeda on Friday
Spent the whole day, left my house at 4:15am and arrived at Steeda at 8:20am. Matt took the car back instantly and Jaime started to work on it at 8:30am.
I got to meet Scott (Director of Operations @ Valdosta) and Jason (an engineer there that designed the Tri-Ax shifter and also installed mine along with help from Jaime). Both of these guys are gearheads in the truest sense and I really mean that. I talked to Scott for close to 45 minutes.
Tri-Ax Shifter - This shifter is a beautiful piece of art. The throws are sooooooo short and so precise. The height of the shifter is perfect. You can just rest your hand on the center console and your palm just rests comfortably on the shifter ball. The throws are bolt action rifle precise. It goes into the gate with minimal effort. I have the soft springs installed. There is a nice weighty feel when shifting. The very first time you feel the shifter after it is installed, your jaw will drop at how different it feels over stock. After 2 days, I am now used to the feeling and it is a glorious thing. You get a bit more noise from the Tri-ax vs. stock shifter but it leads to a more mechanical, visceral experience with the shifter and the car. The downshifts are so much faster now vs. stock. It is almost like we have a DCT in the car, no lie. If you are on the fence about buying a shifter, just do it. You will be happy you spent the money. It really changes the entire feel of the car and driving experience. This is the BEST aftermarket shifter I have had installed in any of my Mustangs since 1991:first:
Suspension Mods - The new linear springs are AMAZING. I thought I loved the progressives, I am really in love with these ultra-lites. It just firms up the ride and control that much more. I prefer a firm ride that is tolerant and doesn't feel like your fillings are going to come flying out when hitting a bump. These deliver on all fronts from a ride and comfort standpoint. They are for sure more firm vs. progressives but it is a controlled firm. Your spine is not being driven into the bottom part of the drivers seat after hitting a bump or transition. The roll and brake dive is reduced even more vs. the progressives. With the G-trac brace and subframe braces, WOW...The control of the car is incredible. The turn-in is truly lightning fast. I am running 285's up front so that helps a bit but that G-trac brace really increased this with those springs. The just slightest twitch on the steering wheel, the car starts to go that direction and I mean just the slightest. I went with the red differential inserts. There is just the slightest noise coming from the rear at certain speeds, I think around 60-65mph. With the music going, you cannot hear it or if you have an exhaust, you won't hear it either. They did work to reduce wheel hop as advertised. With all the mods I have now out back, I have virtually zero hop. When hitting 2nd gear, the car just spins and spins straight. Very control and no chatter or hop. It brought a smile to my face the first time I banged second. Keep in mind, it has been cold down south and not seeing hop is a great thing. It means when it is warm, this sucker is just gonna grip and go. The spherical bearings are also contributing to the newfound control and compliance of the suspension. I can tell that I can apply the power earlier in a turn vs. last week without these bearings and linear springs. The rear just wants to GRIP and accelerate. The Camber Plates up front have helped dial in more camber. I am running -2 now up front vs. -1.5 on the previous factory setup. These plates are a beautiful piece and are well built as all Steeda suspension components. The bad thing is, you cannot see these bad boys once installed:(.
After the install was done, I was 51 miles into my journey home. I pulled off to get a quick bite to eat. When I turned into the parking lot, I heard a metallic sound coming from the front of the car. It was like a metal cable being drug across a piece of metal. I popped the hood, left the car running and turned the wheel so I could hear where the sound was coming from. It was coming from the left and right side of the car. I crawled underneath, could not see anything loose or handing down. Pulled on the front wheel and nothing. It was solid. I gave David a call at Steeda and let him know. I could duplicate the sound over the phone and he could hear the noise. I waited on hold a few minutes while he called Jaime and Matt. They both stopped what they were doing and headed back to the Valdosta shop to meet me there. I got back in about an hour. I could not duplicate the sound anymore, lol, go figure, right. Jaime had me pull the car in the shop and he began to inspect everything again. He worked on the car for about 30 minutes and nothing was loose, everything was tight, nothing hanging down, everything was connected as it should. Jamie described the noise as the spring likely hitting the bottom of the new camber plates as it was not 100% fully seated at that point. What is odd is that Jaime test drove the car 3 different times after all the parts were installed and it made zero noises as I was out there when he was doing his thing in it. I have since driven the car on Saturday, Sunday and this morning. ZERO noises at all. This is even in 28 degree weather. My point with this part of my story is this. Steeda (David, Jaime and Matt) went out of there way to help look over the car after their install since I stated a noise was going on. They drove back to the shop after being at home, on a Friday night at 7pm. THIS IS EXACTLY WHY I AM A STEEDA SUPPORTER (for life) AND RECOMMEND THEIR PRODUCTS. Their products and customer service is unmatched, period, end of story.
Overall, my car is a street legal race car, with all the luxury amenities that we all want and love. This thing can carve a corner and ride like a sports sedan. If any of you were leaning on the fence for Steeda and their products, just do it and never look back.
David@Steeda thank you again for the great products, service and pricing!!
I have a perma-grin that will never be removed from my face:first:
