Glad you enjoying it :)

You can't disable keyless :(
Surely there's a mod to be able to disable it? The car has 'key' entry on it (on the handle, the small bit to the right of where your hand is comes off) pulling off previously said item shows 'keyd' entry.

You might be able to disable power to the keyless system, however you're then semi-fked when it comes to push to start !

I can guarantee it'll take everyone who's not used to it, some getting used to, but as it is with change!

Don't the indicators flash when it is locked? Why do you need to try the door?

Hi there

I've read the manual, I cannot find how to disable the keyless entry, I hate it, I am asking friends and family to go upto my car to make sure it is locked. I just want to disable it and just unlock and lock using the button. Read the manual no insight, is it possible to disable it.
I was like that at first, but you'll get used to it. I know what you mean - You don't quite trust that its locked, but you can't check (if you have your keyfob on you) without opening again! Just takes a bit of getting used to.

Congrats on getting the car.

Does it unlock automatically when you get close? No requirement to press a button on the handle?

If you get out and press the lock button / contact patch on the handle it locks and the lights flash.. I'm not sure how much more confirmation is required to ensure you that the car is locked lol

They unlock when you grab hold of the handle, and lock when you press the lock area on the handle

Yeah will just get used to it, when I get out I just press the lock key twice and according to manual pressing twice also deadlocks the entire car for improved security.

If you double click the lock button you should hear it lock.

If the Ford keys are the same universally there is a space inside the fob to put your emergency 'real' key for getting in if the battery is dead.

I think you have to pull the handle, the button is to lock (I think?). Haven't got the car with me to check (and I've forgotten already). Due to temperatures and snow, I took my old BMW (with winter tyres) out instead today. Keeping the car for the winter as it actually works out cheaper than bothering to get winter wheels/tyres. Also keeps a few miles of the Mustang. I digress.

Edit - just noticed this has been answered by the time I hit 'post'- I shouldn't stop for a tea break in the middle of posting!

Well that's deffo inside the US keys. Should be the same with all keyless entry cars, it allows you to get inside the car should the battery be dead, and therefore open the bonnet etc.

Not to mention if the battery in the fob is dead :)

Does it deadlock with the button on the handle too?

You can check its locked if u pull handle within 3 seconds of locking it. After 3 seconds it will just re unlock vehicle.

Also BristolStreet were brilliant, they got a professional valet in with correct cloths, paint is completely swirl free, zero marks or blemishes.
That's good to hear....my car is due there sometime soon:headbang:

Totally missed this, I hope they do this for my car as well, i'm a BSM (not to be mistaken with BDSM) customer, so hopefully the valet service transcends from others!
