Glad they got your wiring loom sorted as well for your pick up, mine is still waiting for the part but keeping my fingers crossed for Saturday.

ENJOY mate
They don't have the part, so the mechanic has moved the loom out the way for now until the part arrives as they know I want my car. :)

They expect the part in a week or two and will then fit it. I shall ask the mechanic where the loom is and keep a close eye on it myself to be on safe side but they said they have relocated it out the way. :)

Great if you could take a pic of the offending area. Not only would it satisfy my curiosity (and others no doubt), it means that other owners can check to see if the mod has been done.

Bit of a schoolboy error on Ford's part having a battery live that can short out?!?

And there's me worrying about affecting the SJB :headbonk:

He's defiantly winning in life. Only one American car too!
Gibbo and I used to work together about 12-13 years ago, so we've known each other quite a long time. I used to live in the UK but moved to the USA about 8 years ago when I was 24.

Both of us are completely addicted to cars :D

Hi there

Got it, bit blown away by how good it seems at everything. Though my average mpg so far is 14, how are some of you guys getting higher, lol. :D

Nearly cracked 50 miles, TC system I tested it seems to work just fine and in track mode everything feels alive, but roads greasy now so back to taking easy.

I've read the manual, I cannot find how to disable the keyless entry, I hate it, I am asking friends and family to go upto my car to make sure it is locked. I just want to disable it and just unlock and lock using the button. Read the manual no insight, is it possible to disable it.

Being driving it for an hour, love it, now going to go play with the infotainment system, guess I won't be fitting any parts tonight sorry guys, enjoying just playing with it.

Also BristolStreet were brilliant, they got a professional valet in with correct cloths, paint is completely swirl free, zero marks or blemishes. Only one issue which I did not spot but the valet guy pointed out, drivers door glass is scratched, looks like grit did it, Bristolstreet ordered the part today and they also agreed to fit my decals when they do the recall on the loom next week fingers crossed and the drivers glass might take a month but I can't see it, so not that fussed but good of them to point it out. :)

Bit of a schoolboy error on Ford's part having a battery live that can short out?!?

And there's me worrying about affecting the SJB :headbonk:
I picked my GT up on Christmas Eve , and i recently checked , and it's VIN is showing as a "field service alert " on ETIS. I only checked because of the threads on Pistonheads / Mustang 6G. My local ford dealer also had to wait for parts (cable ties and heat resistant insulating tape) and it's booked tomorrow for the 'work' ...after I explained the 'recall' ..it was new to them ....
To put my mind at rest in the interim , I checked the clearance between the battery cable and the exhaust manifold .
Open the bonnet, look to the (black plastic) airbox housing on the RHS , and look down past it to the RHS exhaust manifold .....you'll see a heavy cable running within an inch or so of the manifold . Mine was already insulated and tie wrapped back to to secure mounting points near the engine mount. It looks very secure and not in risk of ever touching the manifold , or even suffering from heat fatigue ....It looks like it's already had the work done .....however , I'm taking it in just in case .

Hope it helps .
have fun
matt
