Awaiting a GB Mustang 5.0L V8 Auto - Drives RRS
Anybody been over Hammersmith Bridge in a Mustang S550 yet?
Not sure if this helps, but have gone through Hammersmith bridge and also Rotherhithe tunnel with my RRS. Though a tight squeeze but still managed to pass through several times. RRS is 2220mm with mirrors out.

Rotherhithe restriction says max width of 1.98m but I can still squeeze through with a 2.2m car. :headbonk:

Personally the Stang felt small when I test drove one.

I cross the Hammersmith Bridge quite regularly in the Mustang and when I had my Mercury Grand Marquis I would take it daily through the Rotherhithe tunnel. No problem but I do slow down unlike when I'm in my old e36.

Just to make sure.

This is Grainger Town multi in centre of Newcastle, there's not a chance in hell the Mustang is going anywhere near this place. It's a nightmare in a small car, the walls bare the scars of many cars. Right hand opening as you look at the picture is the exit ramp, just inside there's a near 90 degree angle to put your car round and the camber of the road twists down as well in the opposite direction.

It'll be the full fat V8, manual or auto, and when the petrol prices go through the roof again, I'll buy a Fiat 500 for domestic duties.
I'm not going to be ordering one, as they are starting to crop up in dealers at list price. I've no interest in paying extra, so the amusingly overpriced examples on Autotrader etc can go to the more impatient/gullible.
Welcome.
Race Red GT in Sunderland available now from Lookers Ford in Sunderland apparently.

YLA G they've got some tiny parking space in Belgium mate! That parking space looks like it barely takes the VW Polo!

And I thought the Bridges in Sunderland was tight.

Whenever I go to the town you can bet your backside its going to be in St Marys multistory - the entrance is a little snug but inside is nice and wide.

I had an experience like that recently in a private underground car park. Decided to reverse out of it - and that's where the reverse camera really came into its own. The worst bit is not being able to see low curbs. I still had to get out & check a couple of times as the nose came round!

Yeah I think I am over multi-storeys in this car. The good news is, the average unthinking parker goes straight for the shortest walk to destination. Search around and there's usually something much better a bit further away. You'll find all the exotics down the far corner of my local Sainsbury's :D

Thanks, that's the sort of thing, but I'll wait till my fixed term savings are available in May. There should be ex demo cars around from then.

As for multi storey car parks, I avoid like the plague.

I plan for outdoor parking now, not going in a multi-storey. I did take it into Times Square in Newcastle and my arse was clenched going in, lined up perfectly in the middle before attempting the barriers. It's the wheels im worried about more than anything, just can't judge where they are & kerbs are ludicrously close/high.

I doubt you'll get the turn into St Mary's to be honest, turning circle isn't the best with the length of the hood.

We could simply reverse everywhere (when parking): if you also tip the exterior mirrors down, you'd then see at least where the rear wheels might be about to curb.
Obviously, we'd look like pillocks. But pillocks with perfect alloys.
