Well after waiting 10 months for the car back in 2016 my17 magnetic GT will be getting sold shortly due to purchasing a new Mercedes c63, the c63 isn’t going to be here until late jan 19 so will decide nearer the time what will work best, part ex or private sell

The mustang is an awesome machine and loved driving it everyday but it’s time for a change as the longest I have ever kept a cars is 2 years . Hopefully will return to another mustang in the future who knows , this forum has been brilliant and been a good source of info for me to get mods done in the past, so thanks guy!!!, ( many parts will be listed in classified soon i’m Sure). Will be keeping an eye on this forum from time to time for any new developments on the next mustang model

Dave.

Report back on the c63 when it arrives and give us a back to back owner comparison review. I can’t say I’m not tempted myself. They sound great, are slightly more practical than the mustang, and go like the clappers. So similar in many ways, the only German pony car remaining on sale. I learned to live with the mustang interior plastics so I’m sure I could learn to accept a Merc interior once all the purple lap dance lights were turned off. With a bit of hacking it is probably possible to change the font on the sat about screen too.

Mercedes C Class, according to Warrantywise, the 6th most unreliable car, however they come to that conclusion. Plus C class Mercs drop like a stone in depreciation, probably why you see so many on the road.
Anyway, enjoy! :)

I swapped my 2016 Mustang GT in Feb 2018 for a C63 Estate. Loved the Mustang but the C63 is ridiculously quick... when it works. :headbang:

I can well believe the C Class is the 6th most unreliable car. My C63 has been shockingly unreliable so far - in 10 months it's been back with the dealer 3 times for electrical issues which means its been off the road for almost a month. My Mustang wasn't exactly brilliantly reliable either but the C63 is probably the least reliable car I've owned.

In the end Merc replaced a significant amount of the electrical system under warranty at a cost (according to the invoice I was shown) of £15,500 plus VAT.

The thing is, even with all its unreliability so far, I really really like the C63. Its practical and sensible when it needs to be and a total animal when you want to have some fun. I do miss the Mustang but don't regret making the change (assuming my C63 is now properly fixed!)

Enjoy your new motor! :like:

... a bit controversial this !! :lipssealed:

But its still "just a Mercedes" :giggle:

You know and I know a C63 is a very very quick car - but few other do

Whereas the Mustang is still pretty rare and attracts attention (in the UK at least) where a Merc doesn't

(I have had several Mercedes C class, E Class etc btw - but I admit not a C63)

So - not doubting its speed etc - just that it doesnt stand out as any different really!

I’d need at least 2 mustangs to be able to swap for a C63

This was part of the attraction for me... I got a bit bored of all the attention the Mustang was attracting.

C63 can be incognito (mostly) if you want it to be, which couldn't be said for my Mustang. :bandit:

Shame you’re missing out on some great club meets and cruises. I bet a Mercedes meet looks like your average supermarket car park :like:

The attention is part of mustang ownership. If you don’t like that then yes a mustang isn’t for you. Horses for courses :)

Horses for courses! :clap::giggle:

Brilliant Richard!

Robin (aero) if you are bored with the attention a Mustang receives then, yes - a Merc might suit you better

why not get a silver one? then it can blend in better with all the other cars on the road?

Pfft. We work, we earn, we buy what we want. The biggest crime would be blowing £40/50/60k on a car we thought others would love, and love us as a result.
I wanted a Mustang but the C63 is a great car, apparent reliability issues notwithstanding.

‘Great’ is a personal opinion which of course differs from one person to another !!!
