I've had 3 fully built track cars all with turbos.

After my last car I knew I was done with FI.

I hated going to the track and only being able to do well on my first lap.

I've used meth injection, e85, massive intercoolers, ducting, heat extraction hoods etc etc.

The GT350 has been a blast, lap after lap it does its thing. No heat soak, no cool down laps, no fans.

FI is fun for breaking the law, and just gets you in trouble. I'm a believer in NA now
You came to the Dark side. :headbang:

Mark my words.
GM WILL NEVER HAVE A PRODUCTION NATURALLY ASPIRATED V8 MAKING ANYWHERE NEAR 700 HP. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT AND THE GAS GUZZLERS TAX AND EPA.

Taken right from the article. But do not count the Z/28 dead. To the contrary, Chevy is patiently saving its most vaunted muscle-car badge for the next bullet: a Camaro with 700 or more naturally aspirated horsepower and a chassis capable of spanking the other pony cars at the road course of their choosing.
Note that they said it will be dual overhead cams and FPC but they didn't say it would be like the Voodoo.

Chevy is always a couple steps behind. I hope they really do it though. I'm not sure whether they will really be able to put together such a complicated motor. Hopefully they hired some engineers from Ford to help them with this "new" technology.

My bad, missed that part. I honestly don't see that happening with a NA engine. They said the SC was at 750hp. You not loosing only 50 hp taking out the SC. imho this will put out about 600hp and SC at 750+.

Yeah GM likes to ride on fords coat tails. That goes for pretty much everything they do.

GM isn't going to be able to do it nor will they do it. Come on. Seriously a FPC, DOHC, NA, 5.5?
Seriously GM? You can't come up with your own ideas you have to follow ford?
Starting to remind me of the shit chevy says about fords aluminum f150. Yet they plan on an aluminum Silverado / sierra. Junk.

I have no clue what is coming, but remember this is coming from a magazine. There have been tons of articles of what's coming that never did. Let's wait and see what happens. Everything now is just speculation.

Well... Yea. I doubt anyone will have that. If they did somehow though... Holy shit.

Meh. I've always preferred OHV V8 engines compared to DOHC. I'd prefer they didn't, but that's probably up there with people who would prefer a solid rear axle. lol. It's going to eventually change to something better.

I've just always enjoyed the low end torque that the LS/LT motors offer.

BUT! I do think Ford may be stepping up their game with the Hybrid Mustang. That may be what makes me pick one up for a DD. I know a lot of people want to stay motor only, but it's going to happen eventually. And that insta-torque... Mmmmm. :eyebulge:

I always liked engines that wind out rather than those with more low end torque - at least in a sporty car. Torque is good for pickups, though. I do wish the EPA didn't make such restrictive laws, because the cam in block OHV engines could make a lot more high end power if there weren't so many emission regulations. I like OHV engines, just not OHV engines that meet current emissions regulations.

I prefer OHV in general just due to their simplicity and I'd rather have a large displacement engine. But having the ability to change both intake and exhaust valve timing makes a pretty big difference in an engine's overall power delivery. The Coyote and Voodoo engines are really great engines that make for a fun car to drive. Too bad Ford doesn't make a version with about 7 liters. That would be awesome.

Except Chevy did not heed your warning. A Car and Driver Article about the upcoming z28

http://blog.caranddriver.com/a-new-...is-still-on-the-way-heres-everything-we-know/
C&D/R&T needs to be more honest with the information they were given.

Don't expect a "Z/28" for the 6th Gen Camaro lineup. At one time, briefly last year, the ZL1LE was destined to be the next "Z/28" but many things happened.

1.) Sales are very, very poor

2.) ATS/CTS could be changing platforms in 2019

3.) Ford and Dodge have higher horsepower engines

4.) MSRP got out of hand

5.) The ZL1LE is the epitome of 6th Gen performance, no Z28 could be built to compete and it would be more expensive

When it comes to C&D, trust me...

I think there were reports of Ford working on a new modular engine that can go out to 7.0L...but I'm not sure it would be compatible with a Coyote style operating scheme.

I think it was for the F series.
