Motortrend said 13:1. So it's 12:1 which is still more vulnerable to lower octane then the 11:1 ls7. The z28 is rated for 91, so why would it not gain more on 93? The gt350 gained 11hp going from 91 to 93 and gained another 16 going from 93 to 98. The ls7 was rated on octane everyone can get, not like the gt350 which is rated at 93 and many states don't offer that.If both cars were dynoed on 91 that proves my point even more. So basically you are saying the z28 would make even more on 93 octane! Which is what GM brought to the gun fight. They either have higher octane race gas (not pump gas) or a tune. That's cheating!
Plus the gt350/r does not have 13.0:1 they have 12.0:1. Big difference.
