Sorry, the equipment listed isnt responsible for the 60lbs plus whatever equipment they added. There is more than 80lbs of weight pulled from the base ZL1.

As I said months ago, the base ZL1 was a dumbed down version of what they actually built. The ZL1LE programs were merged AFTER the z28 was canceled.

Yes, the z28 has been canceled and has been since last Spring/Summer. When the "Spy pics" of this ZL1LE were released thePill was pretty specific that is WAS NOT a z28. I was also very specific that the models were merged together.

No, that's not the case... the weight Chevy added to the 1LE that made it 80lbs too heavy was just removed to save weight.

Sales was a determining factor and it seems the 6th Gen is on borrowed time.
Suuuuurrrrreee. And the Camaro would never lose 200 lbs.

And there's a ZL1, then there's a ZL1 1LE. You keep using the word merged. I don't think you understands what it means. Cause if those two cars were merged, there wouldn't be a ZL1 and ZL1 1LE. Kinda the opposite of the word merged. And you've said all sorts of things that have turned out to be not true. See first sentence of my post. There's lots of other things we could point out but why bother. You know what you've made up and so do we. Still zero proof that the Z/28 has been canned. Not saying it will happen because I personally doubt it will either. But just saying it hasn't been shown that it has been canned.

And there's a high chance that the guy who refers to himself in third person and as "we" will be wrong on yet another made up report.

Also, lol @ trying to still push that the ZL1 1LE automatic failed because it couldn't handle the heat when it never existed. 1LE is strictly a manual only trim and the A10 has been shown to do just fine all day on a track out at events on the plain jane ZL1. Go back to making up your next story and come back with it so we can make fun of you about it... again. Preferably another one about wide tires or spacing in the back seat. Those make me laugh the most.

You can be sure if the 10a could survive a track thrashing it would be in the zl1 1le. It's faster, simple. With gm who has no problem stretching the truth to outright lies, they want the fastest track car they can create. Because it's not in the zz11 we know that it could not last on track.

Sorry? You think different?

How does an engine rated at 505hp
And another at 526hp even come close? The z28 made 469 if I remember correctly where the R made 471
That's basic math. Are we to believe the z28 has a more efficient drivetrain?
Explain how the z28 has a 7% loss
The R has a 10.5% loss.

For the z to make 469 hp it would need 525 hp crank at the same 10.5%
Good thing GM cheated and still lost. That extra 20 hp didn't do any good.
I think some companies slightly underrate hp figures. GM, Porsche always seem conservative. Hellcats also seem underrated.

I'm just not agreeing they didn't up the tune on the MotorTrend z28.
No matter what side of the fence you stand on, chevy Chester the system in that one. It's undeniable. Then shaving the ZL1s tires... not cool. It does a lot to erode trust. At that point it's not about brand loyalty. It's about who you can trust. So far chevy has a hole they've dig themselves that will take a bit to climb out of. Meanwhile with Ford, they gone so far as to not publish a competition beating Nurburgring time out of respect for honesty concerning the variable nature of such runs. That's a place of respect. But even Ford lied about engine horsepower in the late 90's with the Cobra. However, they claimed out of that hole and have built a reputation of trust since for some nearly 30 years. Meanwhile chevy is 3 years removed from their multiple offenses.

So... yeah. They cheated. And lied. And they deserve to be called on it.

Remember what you said about the MotorTrend gt350r/z28 article?
Search and you'll find the proof you desire. This isn't the first time GM inflated the truth.

All I have read is speculation. Just people who didn't like the results and will do whatever they can to discredit the results.

Didn't like the results? Ford beat the z28. What results don't I like? GM can still cheat and loose, you don't always win cheating. I've seen some z28's dyno bone stock in the 440 rwhp range but funny the MotorTrend z28 did 469 rwhp hmmmmm

I've read gt350 Dyno at 429 hp and on 98 octane only get 456 hp, yet motortrend get 471 on 91. So did Ford cheat?

You're being ignorant. The voodoo is rated at 526 crank and even if the percentage loss was the same as the z28 that would mean the gt350 would of put down 489 rwhp. .

The gt350 had about a 10.5% loss.
The z28 had a 7% loss.
No way in hell does a stock z28 make 469 rwhp. And no way in hell is the z28 that much more efficient in the drivetrain.
They either used race gas or a tune.
