Yep, they sound great. I love the way it sounds on cold start up just want to tame the high end rasp a tad bit then itll be great.

Im gonna try this. If I still don't like it, Ill give an h pipe a try.
I have a MRT H-pipe for sale if you're interested. I haven't posted it yet because I need to check on shipping cost.

I've had both H and X. Both had a rasp.

I added a flowmaster x pipe and bbk shorty headers today to my v6. I like the sound but the x pipes added way too much rasp for my liking. Anyone know of a way to reduce that rasp while still keeping the x pipes or do I have to revert back to the original resonator?

Edit: I have flowmaster outlaws along with this.
Add some glasspack styled resonators and maybe change the outlaw exhaust, they tend to be really raspy as well

Buy an H pipe. Ive got the same set up as you and no rasp. My videos are on my build page.
Did you notice the rasp go away after the shorty headers? I've been going back and forth between getting headers wondering if they are worth it or not.

Im gonna try to make it work with the x pipe first. Thanks though

I did the X pipe first then I did the bbk shorty headers later that day. It definitely reduced the rasp for me.

Sry I overlooked he has headers. Im getting them though. Headers should make the sound a little clearer. Not the other way around.
H is like 0 rasp compared to an X.

I had rasp issues and retained my x pipe with these resonators right after them.

Just did the same exact thing with magnaflows that the muffler shop had in stock. It removed all the rasp 100% and quieted the exhaust just a tad bit and removed some of the drone. I think it slowed the car down just a tad bit but it could be just in my head?

I doubt it slowed it down ill say its in your head lol but ya I retained it for strength and still get the power that the x pipe provides, but the sound is super clean now.
Glad you took the adv and like it

does an aftermarket resonator like the mbrp's do a better job at removing drone on exhaust like the outlaws?

I got mine installed last night, and the drone is absolutely unbearable and gives me the worst headache after like 10 mins of driving. Dont feel like driving it anymore tbh... so i need to either figure out a way to reduce the drone between 1000 and 2200 rpm or take the car back to stock until I can figure out a better alternative.

Currently have Roush Intake and Outlaws axleback installed, kept factory resonators.

Im probably gunna put my cats back on lol. Put on my sr x pioe today, the volume is where i want it, but pretty raspy under load. Not really much louder without the resonators under cruize conditions. But way raspy. Cats will get rid of that
