Would YOU spend $80,000.00 on a Shelby with FORD stock crashing?

Ford makes an $80k mustang?
Nope, but they do make a $124,997 Shelby GT350R: https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for...searchRadius=0&makeCode1=FORD&modelCode1=MUST

There is no way I will get a 2019 Shelby GT350R loaded with Painted Stripes out the door with Taxes for less than $80,000.00 to $85,000.00 if I can find a dealer who will sell to me at MSRP.

If 2019 is THE last year then Premium pricing will be in full effect especially for the "R" models.

If Ford produced a 7 + liter naturally aspirated V8 for the Mustang, I would pull the 80000 dollars out of the bank as fast as I could and rush to the dealer and place my order. Next, I would buy the cheap Ford stock.
I would too.

I had no idea Ford had a car other than the GT that had an MSRP over 100k.

Crazy world we live in.

I will not be buying another Ford PERIOD unless they step up the quality game and stop charging an epic fortune for their cars that don't have the level of quality and reliability of a Toyota Corolla.

Everyone's expectations are different. I knew that I was buying an insanely capable car that started out as a 20k rental special. Fact, I would have to pay at least twice what I did for my R to get the same LOP. Complaining about a free market is futile. Use it to your advantage. I myself will not pay an ADM but understand why it happens. Ford doesn't charge more than MSRP. The dealers buy these cars to sell and make a profit. Personally, a Corolla and its quality, will never get me in their car.

Part of Fords problem is crappy dealers, friends that drive Toyota and KIA love there dealer service, I can't a Ford dealers that can change oil without problems.
Agree...100% accurate for me. Crappy dealers with crappy service kept me from a Ford for 12 years and was one of the reasons I hesitated buying a GT350....likely my last Ford due to the crappy dealers, and I have many in my area, sad.

Really sorry to hear about all of the crappy service that some of your are receiving and which you certainly don't deserve.

After reading some of these horror stories I feel very fortunate to have a relationship with a Ford service department in the South that I can honestly say is probably the best that I have ever dealt with over my ~50 years of buying the Blue Oval brand.

It is sad but understandable that some individuals will not purchase one of these great cars because of inferior service departments and hope that Ford is taking notice.
