Bought a cannon to use with my WORX HydroShot. Hope it has enough power to do a descent job. Anyone try this yet?

I'm reading here about the HydroShot that it produces 320PSI and 0.5GPM? Good luck, I'm complaining over here about having 2000PSI at 1.2GPM so what you're using is going to be seriously frustrating I would imagine. I wouldn't be surprised if it really doesn't produce any real foam.

Yeah, seems like it's more for watering plants. I use a 1750 PSI 1.3 GPM pressure washer for my foam cannon and it works well. But it doesn't work so well for heavy duty stuff.

Yea I honestly don't see it working. But shoot us some clips or photos because I'd love a portable setup that I don't have to cart out. Most lances require higher gpm/psi throughput to operate. As others mentioned even at 2000psi many users don't get the carpet of foam they expect when using a higher end (generally gasoline) pressure washer. I get by with my Greenworks 2000psi 1.2gpm unit, it's "good enough" and doesn't make me worried that it will damage anything or seriously damage me if I slip and shoot myself with the otherwise dangerous snub noze pistol grip I setup.

I agree with all comments above and I will do a video & or pics. I actually own a pressure washer but don’t keep it at the house so if the HydroShot doesn’t work I have options. Just wanted something simple. Thanks for the input

I't wont do a good job as a foam cannon. It is great for a prerinse and presoak for a rinseless wash though using the 2L bottle attachment or pull from a bucket when you are not near a water source or power.

Ok, just sprayed my truck down for a quick demo. Does it work, yes. Is it high quality pressure foam, hell no. Is it good enough to soap down my mostly clean but dusty mustang, yes. I may try adding more soap and see if I get more foam. I’ll upload the video shortly.

That's better than I expected. What ratio of shampoo to water are you using? I found with lower pressure I had to burn a lot more shampoo to get it to foam better. You might get away with more foam adding more shampoo.

Don’t know what the ratio was but I added 4oz of soap/shampoo to a slightly less than full bottle of water. I’m thinking about adding 4 more ounces. Also gonna look into a smaller Orifice

IKR, I’ll tinker with it a little however I did look at the Orifice and it came with the 1.1 so no modification there

Are you using car soap without wax in it? Those foam better

I’m using the Chemical Guys Hybrid VO7 Soap and I’m pretty sure there is something in there for gloss/shine. I plan on getting something just for a foam cannon to see if that’s better

Meguiar gold class is cheapest and available in stores. Chemical guys honey dew is made for foam and works really well. :headbang:
