You can get a tune to run your pump. You unhook fuel line and drain, good for fuel changes. Also the dealer doesn't void warranties. I don't know why everyone keeps saying the dealer voided this or that. The manufacturer decides if they approve the claim and pay the dealer to do the repair...
Honestly for road course use, my car being a toy, and me being only somewhat decent at heel toe, I'd don't think I'd lose any sleep over $1K if it was OEM in nature, i.e. not a gimmick but truly detecting shift gate positions and properly rev matching. My experience using it in a GT4 was...
I like my procharger setup, though I never did get the swag they promised me hahaha. Overall I think any centri is awesome, especially for a non-drag racing setup. The super linear power of a centri makes it feel like a bigger engine. Linearity in my opinion is a desirable quality, especially if...
I haven't tried factory rev matching on the new Mustang. However, I've tried it on other cars and typically the difference between the factory rev matching and the auto-blip type products is shift gate position detection. Auto Blip just blips the the throttle by some adjustable amount for some...
Any idea what the computer is basing it's guess on? I wonder if it's from the MAF metering the amount of air coming in and then referencing the O2 sensors in the headers to determine the mixture the car's been running and then using some magic formula to guess the resulting cat temp. I guess in...
I would either cut the cats out or just live with the performance. I suppose you could get a tune with cat protection off and run it when doing a pass like this. I'd say figure out what you're trying to do with the car. If its a street car maybe cat protection is part of the performance...
Sounds like you need to lose the cats and turn off cat protection. It dumps fuel to cool down the cats since a rich mixture will be able to cool a lot better than a leaner mixture. In fact you'd have to go super lean for there to be enough air to cool down the exhaust.
Any way to convert an existing Xtreme system as a kit? Seems like it's mostly the mufflers and wiring. Would be curious about it for my build, because with Corsa LT and Xtreme 3" system it's ear splitting loud and amazing in the right context. However it makes it hard to test start the car...
You guys can also check out agreed value insurance if your driving record is nice and clean. A lot of those kind of insurers are very picky. They dont really wanna insure a 100k build that someone wrecks next week street racing. Not to mention covering something that illiquid and expensive...
Hahahahahahaha I havent updated that signature since I first installed the PC kit on the bone stock car. Furthermore my car is a track build, not drag/street racing, there is no ac, its gutted, and rides like its on rails. However, it makes just a little bit more than 663 after the headers, fuel...
I paid cash for my car, because it was destined for serious abuse from day one. I would pay off any car before doing any serious work to it. I believe you should own project cars. My daily Audi is a virtually interest free loan I don't even try to pre-pay, in fact I'll sell the car before I pay...
Can you just squirrel away the GT350 mani, CAI and the Corsa money and eventually go FI? Because I can tell you that those two mods will NOT get you to the same power level as 8psi FI and definitely not 10psi Fi. You will still spend significant money on it unless you DIY everything. If you have...
Monitor both banks. I usually use the 4 gauge setup for my ngauge:
Lambda 1, Lambda 2
Knock Retard, Air Charge Temp
I also setup values and color coding so I can see just by the color if things are WRONG under PE (power enrichment).
As far as what good L1 and L2 values are, 1.0 at idle and...
