I had my car in for service today. Dealer determined it is the camera and not the wiring. The part is back ordered until August.

my camera came in. I just skipped my appointment this morning since the truck is getting a 2/4 lowering kit installed.

I sure hope it is the camera and that replacing it is a fix. Please do keep us posted as I am sure you will. Thanks.

Mine has the same issue. I've had a few times where the screen goes completely blank and it even says to contact the dealer for service. lol

My car went in for service today. The new camera does not cut out any more but now it looks like I am looking through a plastic bottle and it is now aimed to show part of my rear bumper. I thought the tech may have left a protective film on the lense but nope. He didnā€™t even put the camera back in the opening. :headbang:

My car was backed into the spot and I had to follow the service manager to the body shop so I didnā€™t get a chance to even check it. I didnā€™t even figure out it wasnā€™t fixed until I got home.

I just fixed it myself. The blurry camera was caused by the camera not being aligned.

I canā€™t believe the tech let it go like that.

Well, mine has gone bad as well:

I contacted my Service Guy and he told me that Ford directed them to stop replacing cameras: Itā€™s a widespread problem across all vehicles. Apparently the returned cameras they have tested are working just fine.
He said that they plan to issue new guidance soon.

Iā€™ve seen the videos of the wiring repairs some have posted. My car is 10 months old with about 1,000 miles on it. So Iā€™m not going to rip into the trunk wiring harness just yet. It looks fine.
Not sure what new guidance they may provide. Will let you know what I hear.

I have a spare camera you can borrow for testing if needed.

Interesting idea. Let me think about that. Presume you have hooked it up and itā€™s a good one.

Iā€™m wondering if itā€˜s a SW thing. My Sync did an update on 30 Sep to version 3.4 build 20136; and today was the second time I have started the car since. I have a Job 1 car.
(As a side comment: my wifeā€™s 2019 Naulitus did the same Sync update and her BU camera still works fine.)

Anyone else update their Sync lately?

I haven't tested it, but most certainly would before I sent it to you. Let me know if I can help

lots of people upgraded Sync when it was published, oh 3-4 months ago? There are 2 problems. Camera and/or wiring harness. Mine was apparently the camera.
