  1. Wonky back-up camera

My back up camera is not covered by this recall as mine is just a 2016 Mustang. Nevertheless, it still does all those weird things but only intermittently. I sure hope I can get this figured out and get the camera to work reliably during this lifetime.
  2. Another recall for Ford

I have been struggling with mine for almost a year. I'm trying to track the wiring. Since it is so intermittent, I can't always expect a malfunction. Wish this recall would have something definitive to help me fix mine. I don't know if Ford publishes the reason for the failure, though.
  3. Wonky back-up camera

I sure hope it is the camera and that replacing it is a fix. Please do keep us posted as I am sure you will. Thanks.
  4. Window Sticker

I sure would like to get one for my Mustang. I tried on a purchase but got nowhere. Joe, I can see you getting writer's cramp over all this. Your effort is much appreciated. My VIN is 1FA6P8TH2G5225383 2016 Ecoboost Thank you very much for myself and all.
  5. Wonky back-up camera

Known defect. The wiring harness is being pinched where it goes between the body and the trunk lid. There is a solid plastic tube that protects the harness there and the ends of the tube are very sharp. As you open and close the trunk, they eventually cut the wires. It is simple to remove...
  6. 'Eleanor' Mustang Tribute Build Seized by Gone in 60 Seconds Trademark Holder

There is a You Tuber, FixItNick, that is refurbishing one of these cars. He, too, had to change names and delete original postings, but he reposted everything with the offending terminology removed. True, he was not creating but was refurbishing a car already built. Very interesting series...
  7. Wheel & Tire Suggestions

I checked tire diameters and regardless of rim diameter, all Mustang models have tire diameters of 26 to 27.3 inches. Thus the speedometer should not be off very much. 1.5 tp 3 mph error should be about right.
  8. Wire Color Codes from Year to Year

Does the Mustang follow the same wire colors from year to year? Can the wire colors vary, for example the power wire for a turn signal, depending when the car was manufactured? Although I am sure Ford has a specific color code for specific electrical functions, is this always followed? Would...
  9. Tire Diameter Changes

From my computation, your tire diameter is 26.9 inches for a 285/35R19 tire. My 2016 Mustang has a tire size of 235/50R18 and that tire diameter is 27.2 inches. I have had some information that all the tire diameters for the 2015 Mustang to present are about 27 inches. If so, it doesn't seem...
  10. Gas Mileage: Why does Mustand Ecoboost get 30+ MPG and 2.3 Boosted Explorer Gets 23 MPG?

So answering my own question...the Explorer weighs about 4600 pounds and the Ecoboost weighs around 3500 pounds. Roughly 1000 pounds heavier for the Explorer. I had no idea it was that much heavier. So how much does an F-350 weigh? Rhetorical question there.
  11. Gas Mileage: Why does Mustand Ecoboost get 30+ MPG and 2.3 Boosted Explorer Gets 23 MPG?

Why the extreme difference in gas mileage? Must be weight? Other? Thanks for the help.
  12. Android issue with Sync 3

This thread, three years later, just helped me with the same issue. It is just like any computer with the re-boot to clear issues. Clearing, and in my case waiting overnight, makes it work again. (2016 Ecoboost with large screen.)
  13. Seatbelt Color Change

Here is another company: Safety Restore. https://www.safetyrestore.com/webbing-replacement/122-change-seat-belt-color.html Anyone ever try this?
