Hi Guys,

Was wondering if anyone could offer some advice please, so I’m just fixing a mustang which had front end damage the harness which connects to the fuse box and wraps around the whole front was ripped when I call Ford they say it’s not available at all and could take years to be available not sure what to do as I tried getting it repaired but because it’s black on black wires they don’t want to take the job on as it’s hard also the car is rhd which is probably making it 10x harder to source parts

Thank you

Hi thanks for replying the only issue is the harnesses for these are for LHD since I’m from the uk I need a RHD harness which they don’t seem to have . I was considering buying a LHD harness and seeing if I can transfer over the wires which are ripped but idk if I should by the looks of it about 3/4 connectors which would be on the right hand side of my car are on the left side of the harness for the LHD cars

Yeah definitely and Ford expecting me to wait “couple of years “ is ridiculous

Lack of parts availability is a very common reason to total a vehicle and a huge part of what makes buying a wrecked car so risky.
Your best bet is going to be finding someplace close to you, or in another RHD country, that parts out salvaged cars.

Maybe find a local harness supplier (Leoni, Yazaki, etc.) and see if one of their employees with experience building prototype harnesses would do this as a side job.

Go to junk yard, find a donor car. Or find a totaled from rear end damage car.

Probably easier said than done in your neck of the woods. Good luck!
Very hard to come across a salvage mustang in the uk the parts sell like hot cakes
are all of the connectors good?

get a wiring diagram and rebuild it.
Is there a good place I could find one these diagrams ?

Did Ford give you the part number? If so, post it. There will be some wizard that will find it for you on here.

Check out this seller on eBay :

For a U.K. salvage yard, they seem to get a surprising amount of mustangs.

I’m not connected with them in anyway and neither have I bought from them so this isn’t a recommendation :like:
