I recently bought a fairly new but used gen 2 5.0 out of a 2016 premium GT that’s got a 2.9 L whipple on it. It’s going into my base model 2017 GT. Noticed a sensor on the drive side sump of the oil pan on the 2016 motor that is not on the 2017. Is this a difference between just trims and just need to use my base model wiring harness on it? Is there any other differences that I should know about besides this?

This pinned thread had the variances between Coyote Gens:

I think what you’re referencing (without seeing an image) and this is merely a guess - it may be for the PP trims where the oil temp sender may be located. It could also be Whipple specific sender/sensor if it was a Ford Dealer sold/installed supercharger package.

Post up some images.

Appreciate the reply, here’s the picture. I figured it was just something between trims.

The following relate to a later year of the engine. IDK if they could be of assistance.
