Just that the extra-sipy winter tires might vibrate the car in a different manner than the smoother OEM tires and improperly seat suspension components.why would it matter which tires you're using?
Another question on winter tires. Do you need to get winter tires for the front? Or would an all season do, since the front wheels are not driving the car? Never had RWD before so not sure. thanks.
Might want to consider 245/45/19. assuming you went with an 8.5 inch wide tire. Generally the fatter side wall and skinnier tire are better on ice and snow.I finally ordered the rims, man I spent like 3 days laboring over that one, hope I made a good choice. Now on to winter tires.
I have my sights set on the Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2s. Need them in 255/40 R19 trying to find a good deal somewhere. Seems I missed out recently on a set for a real good price on ebay :(
Yes, you will be fine. A few people here running that config for winter tires/wheels. I imagine there are more winter tire options available to you in that config as well.So a 245/45R19 would work in place of 255/40R19? No stretching or anything?
The timing sucks, for sure. But I always look at it as I'm saving the wear on the summer tires, so it will be about twice as long before I have to replace them.I don't know about you but I think it sucks to buy a new car and have to drop a grand on new tires.. Not much choice unless I want to park it for the winter
