Not sure where you're shopping, but you can get Nokians for about $50 / tire more than Blizzacks.
I'd consider $200 a good chunk.

Anyway, since I posted here earlier, I'll post the setup I ended up getting.

18x8 Rage R20s with 225/45-R18 Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice WRT
Came in under $1000 for everything except installation.

I am not questioning getting snow tires. I guess I am wondering if I really need the nokians when i can same some good money and get the blizzaks.
You could also look into michelin x-ice xi3

In my neck of the woods both the xi3 and hakka r2's are considerably less than the lm-32s. But the hakkas are hard to find in stock around here.

I decided just to go with the nokians. Hopefully they work out. Was about $300 a tire installed. Will be here next week.

I had the same decision. I went blizzaks. I figured they would be a bit better in the dry without sacrificing much snow/ice performance.

what size did you get?

I've attached a tire diameter chart to help everyone select the right height winter tires.
For instance: My 19" 50th Anniversary Package GT tires are 255/40-19s with a 27.031" diameter. I wanted to downsize my 19s to the standard 18" GT wheel/tire size of 235/50-18 with a 27.252" diameter (cheaper, narrower), but it turns out 225/50-18s are slightly narrower with a 26.858" diameter… even closer in diameter to my 19s, and a lot more available. Now if only the new TPMS sensors would be available from Ford dealers before February 24th (yep, back-ordered until then) I'd be happy.
Snow, snow, go away, come again when I can play!

Finally got my Nokians on!! Thanks everyone for the heads up on the correct lug nuts. Got the gorilla "the system" locking nuts in black to go with the gunmetal UP 520s (19x8.5) and the nokian Hakkapeliita R2s in 245/45R19. Drove nice on the way home, don't seem any noisier than stock setup and seemed to grip a hell of a lot better. I will take some pics tomorrow.

The winter tires get a lot cheaper if you go down to 18" wheels. Just got Michelin X-ice 3 on 18" wheels mounted, balanced, and shipped for ~$1,450. If you go with blizzaks that drops down to ~$1,320. Those prices are with cheap wheels but they're for winter so you probably don't want really nice wheels any way.
We're you able to get new TPMS sensors with them?

I'm getting my R2's on tomorrow! Was there an issue with the lug nuts or something originally?

Yes the stock lug nuts would not fit on my new wheels. They were too fat. Took a while to figure out the size, etc.

Here are the Nokians. Soooo much better than the P Zeros. I did a lot of skidding around the last few weeks, these grip well.
