We are already a niche market and have been for some time. A few grains of sand in the Sahara to total car production..

The S650 (2023/4) already has the V8 confirmed (not that they can't change it). It is highly unlikely that the S750 (2030+) will have a V8.

Your run of the mill GT is a dime a dozen. Foregoing the current insane climate, these cars will continue to depreciate just like their forbearers.
Despite the commonality of GT's (20k a year ish) I do suspect they won't depreciate as fast as previous generations. Unless S650 is just better in every way, then yeah, they're going into the toilet, lol. But we'll see.

Yeah, exact same car (i.e., no modern safety nannies) with the Ecoboost engine. It would out drag our cars with its 2700 lb curb weight. Crash and you’d be dead🤷‍♂️

I want to know why Ford killed the Focus RS in the US. That's all I want to know.

probably a secret handshake to stop competing with VW's GTI. AFterall if VW is going to buy Ford, that it has no cars anymore is easier to sell to the take-over committee.

Vehicles bought as daily drivers like larger SUV's and pickups could be effected by rising gas prices. People will move to smaller vehicles like the Maverick or Escape instead of a F150 or Explorer (just examples). This is not the case for the Mustang or other performance vehicles. Yes, it might actually increase Ecoboost sales because of its better mileage. But for those who want the power and sound of a Coyote the price of gas is not going to be a major issue.
So true, for me anyway. I heard the exhaust of a stock EB and I'm glad I went with a GT. Can't beat the sound of a V8.

I love the V8 sound but I don’t know what I would do with all that power. I’m not planning to race it.

Good news…..you don’t have to race it to enjoy it. Honestly for everyday use even the Ecoboost has too much power. But it’s a Mustang and ever one of those 57 years of history can be heard in growl of a Coyote. For those of us that were around at the beginning it’s pure nostalgia. And for those occasions when you can let the ponies loose, pure exhilaration.

Thanks @Bikeman315. 🚲 👨I just have to learn self control with the gas pedal if I get a V8.

Dedicated performance car owners are not impacted by higher gas prices. If you spend time with California performance car owners you'll find no reduction in usage. That's with gas prices that for years have been around $5.00/gal (for 91 octane), always much, much more than the rest of the country.
And keep in mind that 93 octane has for ages not been available in California. If I used my C7 Z06 Corvette in CA I'd immediately lose 60 hp as the computer detects the deficiency right away.
If I lived in CA I wouldn't own my Z06 or GT350. Why pay for high performance and get less - duh.
