People suck. Period.
Took the words right out of my mouth. I have a 9 yo daughter, and I find myself being embarrassed frequently trying to explain to her the behavior of the human race. Embarrassed at how selfish and mean spirited we are as a race. War, crime, poverty, homelessness. Nice message we send each time we walk by a homeless guy and ignore him.

welcome to 2015..........its a dog eat dog world. People are stressed more then they ever have been, the economy (for most) keeps deteriorating, people feel rushed / anxious / and everyone is running around on a thin fuse.

The average person goes to a job they dont like every single day, 8-10 hours later when they powered through it, all they want to do is get home. They are in a hurry and have NO time for other peoples bull shit lolly gagging along at 45 mph smelling the flowers in the air

:)

Agree with the OP. Happens now and did all the time with my Miata. Never happens when I'm driving the Protege. Jelly people suck.

What do you do for every homeless guy you walk past?

Coming from another race red owner in Florida (30 years)... You are absolutely correct.

Florida is the hate capital of the United States. Everybody hates everyone else, everyone is jealous and envious of what someone else has, everyone feels threatened by everyone else.

I've lived in South Florida and now Orlando and Orlando is way, way worse for this kind of shit.

^^^Isn't Fantasy Land in Florida? The Panhandle and the Keys are "Mellow"... The rest of Florida is "Hostile". And the OP is correct about the Red Race Mustang making other drivers "see red". My last 2013 Race Red GT convertible attracted jerks, jackoffs, and assholes every where I drove. But now my 2015 Ingot Silver vert doesn't seem to affect other drivers in the same way.

We apparently have the most curious drivers in the country around here and by and large its true. Going into California feels like you have entered another universe as far as how bad they drive and just dont care. Especially in a parking lot, I was almost gunned down by them guys when I was just casually walking through, clearly pedestrians do not have the right away. But saying that, this area is also notorious for key marks left on new cars. Its almost as if people fight to get the first mark on your car and once done, they leave it alone.

Take a look at some of the threads on this site by guys with cameras. for some reason people think they can road rage with a camera if something near them does something dumb by accident. They post recordings of their road rage as if someone ruined their life because they were speeding and an older person pulled out in front of them.

Hi Stangsters! Hope all is good with you guys! With 11.9k miles, my baby is still going strong and still getting compliments by strangers! This year, I have seen more and more 2015 Mustangs on the streets here on the treasure coast of Florida (sad moment sometimes when you see a S550 coming and throw a big wave only to have them ignore you and then you find out it's a rental; of course).

It's been a while since I posted on the forum, but there has just been something that has bothering me ever since I purchased my Mustang. The surrounding other drivers on the road are so damn hostile! Maybe it's because I live in FL, maybe it's because I have a red car, who knows..

I find myself to be a good, courteous driver. I ALWAYS use my blinker, drive a little over the speed limit, never tailgate (don't want rock chips on my car and most importantly don't want to rear end someone because that puts me automatically at fault), always let in other drivers at crossings, etc. People are just different towards me when I am driving my Mustang. I've driven my mothers Jeep Wrangler and it's like I never get into confrontation with other drivers as they are calm around her car and always generous.

When I drive my Mustang, I feel like it's signaling other drivers to target me aggressively by cutting me off, trying to speed around me, always wanting to be first out of the intersection at a red light, not using a blinker, and definitely a tailgating party.

Does anyone know the psychology around why this is? I don't want to say that it's because I am a young man driving a new sports car because that makes me feel/sound conceited, lol.

if you think Florida drivers are hostile don't ever drive in Northeast New Jersey or New York City because they will eat you alive up there. Literally. Road rage is rampant in those parts. I lived there for 25 years and every time I go back I am instantly angry when I leave Newark airport and get on the turnpike. :headbonk:

I live in southern California. its bad here. I get cut off daily. everyone in a prius or corolla try to race me. I got called a pu ssy the other day by a guy in a 4 banger Honda because I wouldn't race him. ive been rear ended 4 times now also. all of them I have been at a stoplight waiting to go.

also, when on a highway doing 65, people love to try to merge doing 40. ive also had someone do this and then stop on the road and get out of their car before. people are fucking nuts.

random people wanting to race on public roads are just as bad as people who text and drive imo. youre willingly getting in your vehicle where you have the chance to lose control and hit someone else and damage them or their property....if you want to kill yourself do it where you wont bring others with you.

As a born & bred New Yorker, we can drive (and parallel park). Not the case across the Hudson though

I don't street race, and if some dbag in a shitty 4banger with a fartcan says that to me I just drown out that noise by revving the engine. Good therapy :headbang:
