Whipple with Meth Injection "Just Happened"

So, just played around with meth/water on the new tune. I did 2 pulls in 3rd; 1 with meth at the min setting and 1 at the max setting. Max setting would require a tune for sure. I could actually feel a power loss lol. But, min setting is promising. Timing was up very slightly, A/F was leaned out and my boost psi was actually higher "probably denser air from cooling". I will be testing on the dyno for sure.

Did you try it right in the middle? The max, it will flood it and you will loose power. But I'm surprised you leaned out. What was the AFR when it leaned out? Did it go above 13?

Nah, it has never leaned out that much lol. I'll calculate the lambda tonight. I'm going to try the middle next and check the log. I want to try and nail down the right setting prior to the dyno. I don't want to pay for a ton of pulls lol. But, the max did drop and go rich. The min setting leaned it out a little.

My system had from 1 to 10 and I had set it on 4 and would start nozzle 1 at 3lb boost and nozzle 2 @7LB of boost.

I think 4 or 5 will be best and keeps at rich enough. Don't forget, you got only 50% meth, the water part is only for cooling and doesn't give you octane. That's why I always used pure meth for that extra octane. Plus, Meth evaporates much faster to cool off the air.

I would think that pure meth would get better results.

Luther, after your batch of Meth/water is finished, just got to Bradenton track and buy 5 gallons of meth and be done with it. This meth/water is for the birds.
All the Corvette guys who were doing meth, it was always pure. Just pure it on your hand, and see how cold your hand gets.

yup run 100% in my vette, never messed with mixing.

with 100% it will help more with octane boosting. water is only added for detonation.

Luther, since you're going to dyno on Sat., why don't you also get a gallon of pure meth and test it with pure meth and see how it affects the timing and IAT and any power gain. This is a good time for you to know which solution works best.

Some stores also sell it in small container too.

Im getting on the Dyno tomorrow. I will try 100% meth and see. But, I will have my 72lb injectors, BAP and a 3.25 Pulley on with the new Cal. Im really excited to see what kind of power it is going to make.

Anyone have any guess as to what it should make?

Bro, 3.25 pulley, I think you are going to make a ton of power Maybe break the 800 mark
