I am trying to figure out what gen whipple is on my car Its a stage 2 with TB and 72 lb injectors w/ duel fans. I dont see anything listed even in older adds etc with the #s on the blower case. Its a 2015 GT. On top of the whipple on the polished plate on the top is stamped 175F-410. on the side of the same polished plate on pass side near fuel rail is stamped 175018-136 revB 07/13/15. I searched old posts and see with the date and straight ribs its not a gen 3 as its to old. everything I see online seems to state the 2.9 kits as 175AX?.

If you have a stamp dated in 2015 and have straight ribs on the casing, I believe you’re on a gen2 most likely.

How can that be if gen4 didn’t come out till late 2018? Gen4 has Gen3 body style.

This is a gen4.

You also have the Whipple ‘catch can’ which wasn’t made very long. Nothing wrong with it but it’s more of a catch and drain back to the engine system.

Yes it seems to work really good. I saw its no longer being sold. Seems to work great. No smoke or signs of oil on spark plugs and it never has anything in it of course because it drains back in. Wonder why they stopped making it actually.

Yeah it hasn’t been sold since very early 2016. There was some leak issues (not all of course) and aftermarket kinda took over. Plus, most wanted a true catch can to prevent the milky blow by from going back into the motor. Regardless, what you have is better than the blow by going right back into the intake of the Whipple head.
