You also have the Whipple ‘catch can’ which wasn’t made very long. Nothing wrong with it but it’s more of a catch and drain back to the engine system.
Yeah it hasn’t been sold since very early 2016. There was some leak issues (not all of course) and aftermarket kinda took over. Plus, most wanted a true catch can to prevent the milky blow by from going back into the motor. Regardless, what you have is better than the blow by going right back into the intake of the Whipple head.
Got it. Sounds about right. I used to drag race bbc motors and used vac pump into a catch can. The stuff I would drain was nasty looking.

Yeah Definitely a Gen 2. I believe the Gen 3 and Gen 4 all have a W3 or W4 in the serial number. My old Gen 2 had a serial number like that.
