Hey guys
So about two weeks I got an oil change on my 2017 mustang GT with a whipple stage 2 kit. I told the service guy that whipple recommends ford motor craft 5w-50 in the car. After I received the car back a week later I noticed when my car is in D or S on the shifter there’s a very audible tick sound that can be heard from the outside and inside. When the car is put in Park it goes away. However I checked the sticker placed on my windshield and It says they put 5w-20 in the car. It also says on the invoice they put 5w-20 oil in the car but have it listed as “GT500/GT350 Full Synthetic oil”. Below I have attached the picture and video of what I am talking about. Can you guys please listen to the video and let me know if you think the ticking sound is due to the oil?
What oil do you guys use in your cars? Can I even get away with 5w-20 oil in the car?
Thanks
