I was wondering if anybody knows if aftermarket engine mounts will permit the use of strut bar with Whipple supercharger? I like the Whipples but want to keep the strut bar. I know there is a good amount of room between the stock intake manifold and the strut bar. I would like to know how much higher the Whipple unit is and if engine mounts with a one inch drop will help the Whipple clear the bar.

Should be easier with the design for the 2015's as the inlet doesn't come out the rear and out to the side. It comes out the from so doesn't get near the strut bar.

Thanks.

Doubt it would work... My whipple touches the underhood pad on my car.

sorry, but just isn't going to happen. You would need to shim the crap out of the strut bar and get an aftermarket hood for clearance.

Agreed, the K brace is what really give the support. The strut brace is secondary at best.

K brace is all you need. That thing is beef compared to the flimsy strut bar. As stated, the Whipple already touches the hood pad.

toplesstripcruiser, unfortunately, the strut tower brace cannot be retained with the top mount blowers, including the Whipple. The factory brace doesn't provide much bracing at all anyways if we want to be real here. If you're concerned about cosmetics, it's my opinion that a Whipple will look WAY better than any faux brace when you pop the hood. If you have any other questions about the Whipple, feel free to contact us as we are their largest distributor in the US and use their blowers on all of our project Mustangs, including our 849 rwhp 2016 Shelby GT350 WITHOUT a strut tower brace
