Okay thank you, and another question just because I’m curious.. open box or closed intake :,). And wengerds or Lund. I’ve see everyone swear by Lund
Closed. Open box is open to the heat of the entire engine bay, not very effective.

I have the Roush closed box CAI (without a tune) and it's great. The intake temps are usually only a couple degrees over ambient, it's really impressive. Even when the car is fully up to operating temp, on a nice fall day if it's say 60 degrees out, the intake temps will be 60-65 while you're moving. And you still get some cool induction whoosy noises

Ooh, nice. So I can run it without a tune huh? some time last year I was at a small car meet and a group of guys told me that I couldn’t run an intake without a tune or it would throw a code and wouldn’t make any improvements. I know I should’ve done research to confirm that. But I never took it into consideration since I have 0 knowledge.

I would not recommend the RTD when you can get get Avid for the same price. It has much more functionality and doesn't rely on a terrible app

The avid is new, I think you will find most people recommend what they already have but the avid is undeniably better than the RTD

Correct, you don't need a tune. See description here: https://www.roushperformance.com/co...g-v8-cold-air-kit?_pos=1&_fid=48a98a47f&_ss=c

Ooo, cool. Thanks!
Will still look into a tuner because I want the most out of it. But I might just get the intake first and tuner later on.
That's probably the best strategy. Get things like intake, exhaust, whatever mods first so the car is ready to get the most out a tune and then tune that sucker up

Yeah, well as of now, I have a Roush Catback. All I really wanted that uses tune is the intake and headers. I would really love to get headers but now I don’t think I can due to emissions. But that’s really it . I don’t want to change anything else since I DD..

I have the AVID. AVID tuner and Wengerd Performance is where it’s at. Wengerd helped me with some things and the tune is far better than stock, even with 800hp.

If you need any help with the AVID tuner shoot me a message. I’m pretty well versed in it now and know its ins and outs.

Wengerd..... Hands down. Just go to his website and order the RTD and tune. His customer service is top notch...

Why do you guys want him to get 8 hundo worth of tune and a POS RTD for a basic CAI ?

Like seriously.

Most devices that you can actually SEE SHIT ON allows for all kinds of adjustments, and generally have good canned tunes for various CAI's.

IF he has a 200 credit get a live wire and go nuts.
