This is a dumb question. I can't seem to find my lane keeping system button on/off. According to the manual it's supposed to be a the end of the direction indicator, but it is not there.

My lane keeping settings are buried in the menu that you access through the "gears" button on the steering wheel. Near the pony button, bottom right.

On my 2020 Premium it was on the end of the left direction indicator, like literally a button you push inside it at the end (poorly articulated I know)

Oh man, I think I know what happened now. I took the car in to the dealership for the steering making noise when turning left in 2021. I think they replaced the turn signal with a different one that doesn't have the button on it. I did not use it or pay attention to it until today.

Oh wow lol, that's unfortunate! Hope you taking it back. That's like Mechanics 101, ALWAYS compare the replacement with the original

I literally did not even know my car had this until I pushed the button by mistake the other day. I immediately pushed it again, I want me to drive my car, not some low level software analyst :p

OP, hope they get it corrected.

My car has that safe&smart package. I absolutely hate it. I bumped the button on mine by mistake. That was fun figuring out why my steering wheel was vibrating. I never even knew my car had that feature. What a waste of my money.

I know right? I figured it out really quick. Luckily it can be turned off easily on the Mustang. On my Mazda it's on by default every start up and the turn off is several menus deep in the infotainment system which is a pain to get to. I just go with it, I'm used to it vibrating when I have to shift over to avoid a cyclist, mailman, or garbage truck, etc...

Sucks for you, pretty embarrassing for the tech. Hopefully, they’ll fix it quickly and maybe give you a free works service next time.

now you'll just have to pay attention to your driving and not mentally check-out and let the miserably bad "technology" cover for your carelessness. :)

bring back the 6" spike instead of an airbag!

I have this on my other cars and now on my new mustang since it has the safe and sound package. I like it, but you need to change the settings to low intervention. Works better/way less intrusive that way.

Same deal for the automatic emergency braking.

LKA sucks. First time that activated I thought I was losing a wheel. Scared the crap outta me. Shut it off.

this is what I have now. it is missing the button. Whoever fixed my vehicle that day must have installed the wrong turn signal back.

Turn mode to "alert only" to neutralize this garbage. I haven't yet looked at pulling the fuse or pulling off the cover off the rear view and cutting wires or unplugging connectors.
