I saw that there was 0% APR this past March on any new mustang, does your credit score have to be 850+ to qualify? And does anyone know when the next one will be?

I plan on trading in + cash for a new GT this December, but if there's 0% APR sooner might as well do it now

in general with inflation, sad economy and Fed raising rates may not see any 0% for a while. this from our friend google:

What is a good interest rate on a new car right now?

I think it's just sad in general that credit works the way it does. The only thing that should affect credit is missed payments and your debt/money owed or outstanding loans and your income to make sure you can afford what you're trying to purchase. I hate the game greatly and I've been stuck hovering around 760-770 forever.

Another note on the 0% Ford offers. Credit aside you can't just walk in to a dealer and say I want "that car" and get the 0%. Ford assigns the 0% to certain VIN numbers. I had been eying a 2017 GT Premium new on the lot for months and they came out with the 0% so I decided to jump on it, they came back with like 3.9% with my credit score like 811. I said I want the 0% like the commercials and huge banner state on the front of the store. They said that only applied to the ecoboost Mustang they had on the lot and a couple of F150s. I said have a nice day.

I checked a couple local dealer sites and it looks like the 0% does apply to the Mustang GT but only leftover 2022 cars? Thru 4/3/23

Sounds right. I just picked up a '22 Ecoboost Premium and got the 0% for 60 offer (1.9% for 72). It's for leftover '22s only. The best offer I've seen from Ford on the '23s is 3.9% for 60

I was shocked to see the 0% offer.

My guess is Ford wants S550’s off the lots for the arrival of the S650. So they’ll throw the 0% out there for remaining 2022’s and I would guess they’ll do the same for the 2023’s in a few months. Kinda surprised they didnt do it for both now considering April 1 is tomorrow

The 0% on left over 2022's was the entire month of March. In my area there were a ton sitting on lots unsold. I traded in my 21 that was also 0% for a new CS GT because it was tough to pass on that deal. My local dealership found one and had it shipped in 2 days. Well under MSRP and at 0%.

As long as they have supply line shortages I don't see them offering 0%.
Back when they had 100 days of inventory on hand and huge incentives on the hood of each car, it was necessary to move vehicles.
Now, we have hurry up and buy it before the next guy does and ADM's to look forward to.

0% is when they want to move a particular model usually something they are having trouble moving or want to move faster. In the rising rate environment I don t think you ll see it. I m getting 5% on money market cash now so there s the other side of the coin. All the hot sellers we car guys like rarely get 0%. LOL

Model year clearance, there s your chance.
