Rather than change the tires on the 19" wheels twice a year for summer / winter I am considering buying an extra set of wheels this year as I now after 6 years need new winter tires. I have a 2015 Ecoboost Premium with the Performance Pack (!). Question - can I get a set of 18' wheels over the front brakes or must I buy new 19" wheels !

Any other thoughts or advice welcome

Does the EB PP come with the standard GT brakes or the 6 pot Brembos? If it’s the latter, it will be tough to find 18” wheels that fit. If it’s the former, you’ll have plenty of options as most 18” wheels fit over the standard GT brakes just fine.

Unless he specifically changed out the stock brakes to something else, the EBPP comes with the 4 piston base GT brakes so any 18 should fit just fine.

Thanks, wasn’t sure which brakes the EB PP got.

Find a set of takeoff 18's with the 235/50/18's, pretty much a perfect winter wheel for these cars.

Put 300lbs of weight in the trunk as well. A true winter tire with weight in the trunk works amazingly.

Thanks to everyone - I got a set of 18” wheels with Blizzak tires on from a 2015 GT on ebay so all set up now.

Good choice.
Just for future reference, I put the winter tires on the 19 inch PP wheels (245/40-19 Michelin Alpins) and bought a 9.5x18 set of lightweight wheels for my summer tires (265/45-18 Goodyear Eagle F1). Saved 10lbs per corner on the summer tires.
