That's awesome you found them! I couldn't seem to, and I actually wanted those first before I had to go with the pirelli's. Like paul said, I would like to hear your review of them after you get into some snow/ice.
Will do! Appt on Monday and looks like I am in for some snow on the ride home.

Car: 2015 Mustang GT PP
Tires: Nokian Hakkapeliitta 8 (non-studded) 255/40R19

Took 5 guys to help and push the car across a flat parking lot about 30 feet with less than an 1" of snow on the ground (on the stock Pirelli P Zeros).

On the trip home I drove through NH back roads (some unplowed), slush, rain/sleet, and boy did the tires perform. Not sure how much the limited slip differential played into things but the car had zero issues and I kept up with the speed limit and only ever really felt the back slide a little if I accelerated through a turn a little too much. Snow tires are a must if you expect to drive in any snow IMO.

Unplowed snow (1-3"): Car did fine on my unplowed street. Only lost traction when I (safely) mashed on the gas to see if I could break them loose. Stop and go had no issues.

Packed snow (back roads): Drove without any issues. Back slid here and there around turns but easily regained traction and never made me feel unsafe. Kept up with the 30mph speed limit. Braking was fine as long as I didn't smash on the brakes.

Slush (40-50mph road): Felt the tires spin a little but modulating the gas, I didn't have any issues up hills or around corners. Smart driving and there were zero issues.

Rain/Sleet (highway): Drove like a dream. Drove 70-80mph with ease. Tire noise was rather quiet. To be honest I didn't really listen for it but never actually heard the tires (like I have in the past).

By far the best winter tire I have driven on.

Other tires I have driven on: Blizzaks, Wintersport 3D, X-Ice

Anyone running the Pirelli SottoZero's? Seems about all tirerack has in the 255/40-19 range. Looking to put them on 19x8.5 square setup on my GT w/PP for dedicated winter tires.

Thanks

Mark

I can also attest that 255/40 square will be just fine on the PP wheels.

I have Continental TS850P (Europe only tire I think....Living in Germany right now) on my '17 and have never had traction issues. Had them on my '13 Track Pack as well. Handles sub freezing temps and snow pretty well. Haven't had more than 3-4 inches of snow though...

I have the nokian happa R2's on the way. Should be here next week :) Most of the time I've bought winter tires they've been Blizzaks, but I thought I'd give these whirl since they're supposed to be so damn good.
