What size spacers before needing longer studs?

I use 5mm. Try Eibach. They fit perfect for me. 19*10 +40 ET on front.

There is no canned answer number of threads for safe engagement. The rule/correct answer is a minimum depth equal to the diameter of the stud. That's a solid 1/2", so figure out how many threads/turns that would be.

And longer studs are cool - and just waaayyy to easy of a mod to roll the dice on this topic. I get it's not an apples to apples comparison, but go find someone that would do a track day with a questionable eight threads engaged.
lol, well my Ford Performance open lug nuts only *have* 9 threads in them, so I'd say 8 threads of engagement is just fine for the track. That's about 6/10ths of an inch fwiw.
