I have the same one used since 2017 and works great. No holes, phones stay in place, and charged up. Mine is a 2017 so need to have my phone plugged in to connect to the car. This does it.

I don't understand the need to have a phone accessible on a vehicle with AA/CP. Plug it into the USB in the arm rest cubby and forget it exists.

I don't bother with AA unless I'm going on a road trip and using nav. It's slow to connect and it doesn't like connecting and disconnecting several times like several short trips around town. I just use the Bluetooth pandora app and the wireless charging. I don't really use my phone physically unless to answer a text when stopped.

I'm not an AA fan. It's always felt klunky to me. With my phone mounted where it is I only use it for navigation and only then on longer trips. That leaves the sync free for music or audio books.

Do y'all have modern Android phones? I've had Pixels since AA was released and my experience has been fantastic, especially on OEM units. I find it incredibly intuitive, and even the elderly people in my life that have Android phones love it (once i pair it for them 🙃). CarPlay has been the same experience, as well.

It's so much easier to use with the bigger in dash display compared to a relatively tiny phone screen that might be bouncing around.

You are the first 2 people I've ever heard that weren't happy with AA or CP. Can't please everyone!

I used it nonstop when I had SYNC 4 wireless AA. The wired SYNC 3 starts glitching and freezing on me when I connect and disconnect several times in a short period. I daily my GT and do a ton of short around town trips. I like using it when I do.

Check out the AAWireless Two to convert wired AA to Wireless: https://a.co/d/b0BR0IS
European company, manufactured in Europe, which is infinitely better than the normal Chinesium junk that claims to do the same thing. I have the original and love it. Download the app so you can update the firmware and it should be solid.

I plug it into the armrest cubby and forget about it. My phone gets plugged into a quality USB-C 12v charger next to it in the cubby so it charges at high speed and is always topped off when i get where I'm going.

AAWireless is good stuff. They have units that support both Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Bought one for wife's Escape. I don't daily drive the Bullitt, so just use the USB there...
