I dislike the magnetic mounts. Mostly because the metal plates on the phone block Qi charging. I've used pro clip in several vehicles with good results every time.
For the mustang I use the pro clip with a Qi charger mount attached to it. The charger plugs into the power point in the coin tray and has an extra usb port (not the dash one) and the wiring hides behind the trim. It's a real clean mount and charges the phone every time it's in the mount.

I like that set up. Is there a specific model number for your Qi charger and how did you mount it to the pro clip. Maybe a side shot pic. Thanks

I can’t tell yet. I got the docking station, but my 2020 Mustang GT Premium is still “In Production”. I’m hoping I’ll have it next month.
The USB port at the bottom of the center console is very very slow charging unless they upgraded it. Looks like a unique docking station so I'd be curious as to if you like it or not once you get your Mustang.

Went with the Scosche mount and it does seem to work pretty well for me.

The mount is from ProClip. If I remember correctly it was the only one they offered for the mustang. It's super easy to install, just clips behind the trim and stays really well.
The Qi phone holder is from iOttie. It mounts to the ProClip with a basic ball mount that uses 4 small screws to attach to the Proclip.
Here's a side pic. Notice the wire at the bottom tucks nicely behind the trim

Do you remember where you got that style ball mount from iOttie. Model # maybe, I see all kinds of mounts like vent clips and suction cup but no ball with screw mount, to screw onto the ProClip. Thanks for the info and great pic.

I think I bought the suction cup mount iOttie. Doesn't really matter as long as it has the female for a ball mount on the back.
Then I used a ball mount like this. I got the metal one but the plastic ones are about $3 less expensive. Mount the ball mount on the Proclip and the iOttie on the ball, plug the cigarette style plug into the outlet under the radio and tuck the wires behind the trim. Done and done.

RAM Mounts are the best I've found, their suction cups are some of the best. I've got an X grip mount for the phone. I also use a RAM mount for my Dashcam, and it falls down a lot less than the mount the camera came with.
I have like 3 of these. Bar mount I use for the head rest, suction mount, go pro mount plus a few extra pieces. I also have the form fit phone cradle and the x grip. They are all the best things I’ve used for their respective applications and there all obscenely expensive. Still, if you can stomach the price, the product is the best there is
