Looking for a phone mount. In my old s550 I had a dash mounted one that I didn’t love. I’m looking for a low profile one that can be attached to the black/blank space just to the right of the infotainment screen.

I use the course motorsports cradle head powered wireless charger. No holes in the dash. It's pricy for a phone mount but GREAT!! It's on sale now too!

Very happy with the Course Motorsports unit. I'm using the magnetic head non charging.

Don't you use Android Auto or Apple Car Play? My phone stays in the rubber cubby in front of the shifter until parked, plugged in via the usb in the center glove box. No need to be looking at phone until then...

If I had a car without Android Auto / Car Play, I would probably get one of those screens that mounts on the dash top and plugs in to the radio to provide it.

I use this one made by Course. It’s similar to the magnetic one except it clamps the phone on both sides. I like it better. Works well. About $50 at Amazon.

Unless I am on a long trip, my phone stays in my pocket, using a wireless Apple CarPlay for interfacing with the car's display screen and audio. (The wireless interface remains plugged into the USB-A port inside the console storage compartment.)

On trips where charging is prudent I still rely on the above wireless interface. But for charging I use a 12" cable with a right-angle USB-A end plugged into the console's left USB port. With the Right angle end, and the short length, I have room to nest my phone in the front console tray.

im a little puzzled as well tbh.

in past cars without "smart" infotainment, i've sworn by proclips, especially with the magnetic mounts.
